  • Congratulations to the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau for its total economic impact of $298 million in Kenton, Boone and Campbell Counties in 2011.  These numbers were reported at the Bureau's Annual Meeting Thursday, March 15 at the Convention Center in Covington.  The Bureau has also handed out one of its annual Star Awards to fellow CBC member MAC Productions and Founder Mike Claypool for MAC's longstanding and distinguished service to the convention and meeting industries.

  • Holmes Middle School Principal Sean Bohannon and a group of eloquent students talked to a group of members from the Covington Business Council and the NKY Chamber  this week who toured classrooms at the school.  The purpose of the event was to learn how businesses can help these students who will be future customers or employees of Covington businesses.  Needs the school has include mentors, guest speakers, those willing to host students for workplace job shadowing or field strips.  For more information contact Principal Bohannon:  sean.bohannon@covington.kyschools.us.   Please strongly consider getting involved to make our city stronger for generations to come.

Sponsorship Opportunities

  • Roeblingfest 2011 made a huge splash in the Greater Cincinnati region! With approximately 5,000 people attending the day-long event, we really raised the profile of the Roebling Point business district as well as the history of the Roebling Bridge and surrounding area. See attachment for great sponsorship opportunities. Or, if you have something you want to add to the event, let us know! Roeblingfest 2012 will take place June 23.
  • Queen City Bike's Bike Month, May 2012. Every year, the greater Cincinnati regional bike organization hosts  a month long series of great bike rides and events. QCB has been very thorough in building partnerships on both sides of the river to promote bikeable cities for urban commuters as well as trails and paths for recreational riders. See the attached letter for more information on sponsorship opportunities.
