U.S. Department of Energy Release Fiscal Year 2016 Vehicle Technologies Multi-Topic Funding

June 6th the U.S. Department of Energy announced $22 Million in funding to accelerate the development of plug-in electric vehicles and use of other sustainable transportation technologies. For more details, click here. 
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Seeks Public Comment on the Proposed 2016 Statewide Freight Plan

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) released the proposed 2016 Kentucky Statewide Freight Plan for public comment and is seeking recommendations to establish a freight advisory committee-aimed at enhancing communications between the Cabinet and the freight industry.
KYTC's Division of Planning produced the 2016 Kentucky Statewide Freight Plan and Executive Summary in efforts to propose freight initiatives and investments for the state's freight transportation system.

There will be a 30-day window for review and comment on the proposed 2016 Kentucky Statewide Freight Plan from  Friday, June 3 until Tuesday, July 5.
During this time, KYTC seeks input from constituents, local governments, industry partners and interested agencies and organizations. Written reviews and comments on the plan as well as inquiries regarding the Freight Advisory Committee should be submitted to:
