2014 USHJA/Essex Classics Hunterdon Equitation Cup Classic

The USHJA Hunterdon Cup is a distinct competition that combines the precision of  equitation and the handiness of hunters.

The 2014 USHJA/Essex Classics Hunterdon Equitation Cup Classic will be held July 7, 2014, during the USEF Junior Hunter Championships East Coast held July 7-8, 2014, at Brandywine Valley Summer Series in Devon, PA. The prize list for the US East Coast Junior Hunter Finals and USHJA/ Essex Classics Hunterdon Equitation Cup Classic will be available from the Brandywine Valley Summer Series Horse Show.

Horsemanship Stable Challenge

For the second year USHJA will run the 30-Day Horsemanship Stable Challenge, which will begin June 15and run through July 15. To be eligible to win our unique sponsor prize package each trainer* will need at least three junior and/or amateur students take the online Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Practice Quiz presented by Sweet Briar College between June 15 and July 15. At the end of the 30-day challenge, the three top scores under each trainer will be averaged to provide an overall score and the highest scoring trainer in each zone wins the awards package.

The trainer inspired award package will include a USHJA Trainer Certification Program Manual, polo wraps, grooming brush and a hoof pick; one year free subscription from EquestrianCoach.com; and gifts from Sweet Briar College, Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital and Veterinary Pharmacy, Nutrena, Charles Owen, Shapley's, Perfect Products and Standlee.

USHJA hopes that with this firsthand experience of the challenge, trainers will encourage their students to participate in the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge program presented by Sweet Briar College in which USHJA members under 21 years of age test their horsemanship knowledge and may have the opportunity to compete in the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Finals.

For additional information or questions please contact Jill Insko via email or by calling (859) 225-6716.

* Trainers, coaches and riding instructors must be current USHJA members and be declared professional with USEF.
