USHJA Announces Finalists for 2014 Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session

Olympic Gold Medalist Peter Wylde and Expert Stable Manager Anne Thornbury toLead the Training Session

 

The United States Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the 16 ridersthat have been invited to ride in the 2014 EAP National Training Session, presentedby Dover Saddlery, to be held November 13-16 in Findlay, OH.

Apply to Host a Children's & Adult Amateur Jumper Regional Championship

USHJA is seeking bids from competition licensees to host a 2015 USHJA Children's & Adult Amateur Jumper Regional Championship. Regional Children's and Adult Amateur Jumper Championships are designed to bring together riders and provide them with a team experience in a competitive setting.

 

Regional Championships must be held between June 1 and November 30 of each calendar year. A Regional Championship may only be held in conjunction with a Federation licensed Jumper Level 2 or above competition. No venue may be selected to host the Regional Championship for more than two consecutive years unless USHJA deems it to be necessary or in the best interest of the sport.

 

The 2015 Regions are composed of the USHJA Zones as follows:

Central Region - Zones 6,7,8

West Region - Zones 9,10,11,12

North Region - Zones 1,2,5

South Region - Zones 3,4

Now Available Online for Viewing and Member Input

Active Rule Change Proposals for 2014 are now available for viewing on  ushja.orgAll of the rule change proposals are currently being reviewed by USHJA Task Forces and Committees, which will provide their feedback and actions by the start of the 2014 Annual Meeting.

 

USHJA welcomes member input on proposed rule changes. If you would like to provide input on a specific rule, please send an e-mail with the tracking number and rule number to [email protected]The deadline for USHJA member input is November 1, 2014.

New USHJA Jumping Seat Medal Class Available in 2015

The USHJA 3'3" Jumping Seat Medal is an exciting addition to the USHJA Jumper Programs. Designed to give Junior exhibitors the opportunity to develop their equitation skills over a Jumper-style course, the program will debut December 1, 2014, for the 2015 competition year.

 

The USHJA 3'3" Jumping Seat Medal is open to Junior Active Members of the Federation and USHJA who have not reached their 18th birthday (per USEF rules), and may be offered at any USEF Licensed Competition.
