Student Highlight: Why Your Support Matters

"Due to my financial situation, I realize that my family struggles to give me the education they feel I deserve. With my scholarships, I feel it is a reward to not only myself, but my family as well. I am able to receive an amazing education with the financial help I need and for this I am truly thankful. There are no words that describe how much I appreciate Annual Giving contributions.

Family Day/Reunion & Homecoming 2012

Saturday, October 6, 2012

Come to campus and explore the greatness of the University of Saint Joseph!

Family Day is a day for students to invite their families to campus to enjoy a variety of activities. Campus clubs and organizations will be selling snacks and/or hosting a variety of activities for nominal fees to raise money for the many events they sponsor throughout the year.

Reunion & Homecoming is a way for alumni, parents and friends to see all that USJ offers to its students! Want to take a class? Faculty and alumni will be presenting interactive sessions throughout the day.

Want to cheer on the Blue Jays? The volleyball, soccer and tennis teams are all playing at home at the O'Connell Athletic Center.

Life through her Lens:

Nicole Battistone '15

Sophomore, Nicole Battistone, is becoming known for her photography skills. The Psychology major and Newington, Connecticut native chronicles her experiences through a USJ photo blog.

Life Through My Lens launched in September of last year. It documents student life as Nicole experiences it. An avid photography buff, Nicole has been taking pictures for as long as she can remember.

"When I was in high school I started to get serious with it," she said. "I researched and learned techniques." She is often seen at campus events with her Nikon D3000. Her goals for college are similar to those of her peers. "I want to make friends, join clubs, balance my school work and my social life," she said. Then Nicole added, "Also, I want to capture others enjoying meaningful moments at USJ."

Emergency Alert System Information

With the start of the new school year, it is important for your student to review their e2 Campus account to ensure that they are signed up to receive emergency notifications. The USJ Alert System powered by e2 Campus will automatically send notifications (if they are signed up to receive messages) critical to their safety and well-being, as well as storm-related information, to all USJ e-mail accounts for faculty, staff and students. Here is the web page which tells your student how to sign up and where to go to edit their account at any time: USJ Alert System.
