Mr. Marsili worked in NBD as Head of M&A in Shell Energy Europe and as Senior Business Development Manager responsible for the Iraq South Gas project.

More recently Mr. Marsili worked as the Venture Implementation Manager and Commercial Director for Basra Gas Company Joint Venture in Iraq.

Gazprom to develop giant Yamal gas field

Ogj.com, July 23, 2018: Gazprom will take measures to prevent melting of permafrost as it develops giant Kharasaveyskoye gas-and-condensate field on the Yamal Peninsula in arctic Russia.
Full-scale development will start next year, according to Gazprom officials meeting in Bovanenkovo in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
Kharasaveyskoye straddles the Kara Sea coast north of Bovanenskovskoye gas-and-condensate field, which will reach design capacity of 115 billion cu m/year of gas with the launch this year of a third train at the Yamal production center (OGJ Online, Mar. 2, 2017).
According to Gazprom, Kharasaveyskoye holds explored and preliminary estimated (C1+C2) reserves of 2 trillion cu m of gas.  Read more...
LUKOIL drilled the 1st production well in the eastern part of the Yury Korchagin field

Neftegaz.ru, July 24, 2018: LUKOIL announces the completion of drilling of the 1st production well from the wellhead platform at the Yury Korchagin field in the Caspian Sea.
The well was drilled within the second field development stage implemented to involve into production the Eastern part of the field.
The single-bore well with horizontal completion was drilled from a jack-up rig. The measured depth of the well is 5,217 meters, the reach is 4,235 meters. The well's initial flow rate is approximately 500 tons of crude oil per day.

Alexander Novak and Bijan Zanganeh discussed energy cooperation between the 2 countries

Neftegaz.ru, July 24, 2018: Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh held talks here on multilateral cooperation in the energy sector, the Russian Energy Ministry said on July 23.
According to a ministry statement, during the meeting Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zanganeh discussed the possibility of Russian oil and gas companies' participation in mining projects in Iran and cooperation in joint infrastructure gas projects.  Read more...
Russia launches project promoting Russian exports

Tass.com, July 24, 2018: The Russian Export Center (REC) and the Economic Development Ministry have launched a project aimed at promoting export of locally made products, the ministry said in a statement.
"As part of implementation of the national project on improving labor efficiency and maintaining employment, the Russian Economic Development Ministry has initiated the creation of the first accelerator for providing export support to enterprises," the ministry said, adding that the project has been developed and launched jointly with the Russian Export Center.    Read more...
Russian Agricultural Bank, JCB And Panasonic Launch First Co-Branded JCB Card In Russia

Paymentweek.com, July 25, 2018: Russian Agricultural Bank, Panasonic Russia and JCB International Co., Ltd., the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co., Ltd., have launched first co-branded bank card on the base of the international payment system JCB.
In partnership with Panasonic, Russian Agricultural Bank is now offering credit and debit cards that are issued and serviced free of charge. The co-branded cards will join the Club Panasonic Loyalty Program on special terms and receive 10,000 welcome bonus points.  Read more...
UPDATE 2-Russia's Sibur preparing for IPO worth up to $3 bln -sources

At.reuters. com, July 25, 2018: Russian petrochemical company Sibur is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) potentially worth between $2 billion and $3 billion and which may happen by the end of the year, financial market sources told Reuters.
Sibur, the largest petrochemical producer in Eastern Europe, has long mulled a share placement on the open market but faced delays for various reasons.
One of three financial market sources familiar with Sibur's plans said the company was looking at the possibility of an IPO in Moscow and London and may raise $2 billion to $3 billion.  Read more...
Dollar detox: Russia's gold reserves near 2000 tons to set historic benchmark

Rt.com, July 25, 2018: Russia's gold holdings are approaching the Soviet era record after the central bank added another 106 tons of bullion in the first half of the year. It's part of a plan to diversify national reserves away from the US dollar.
The entire gold reserve of the Russian Federation is nearing 2,000 tons with the share of the precious metal in the country's foreign-exchange portfolio reaching a record 18 percent in June. At the same time, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) launched a massive sell-off of US Treasury bonds, having dumped nearly all of the country's holdings.   Read more...
Russia ramping up domestic car exports to European market

Rt.com, July 22, 2018: Sales of Russia-made Lada cars increased by almost 11 percent across the EU in the first half of 2018, data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) shows.
According to ACEA, January-June exports amounted to 2,770 vehicles. Last month, exports rose by more than 15 percent compared with June 2017.
In general, export sales of Russia's AvtoVAZ, which manufactures Lada vehicles, increased by 64 percent, amounting to 16,592 cars.
ACEA said that the largest export markets for Lada were Kazakhstan and Belarus. Data showed 5,854 and 4,206 cars have been purchased respectively.  Read more...
Russia building gigantic railroad artery to connect Arctic regions

Rt.com, July 25, 2018: An additional 686km of railroad will soon link Russia's Arctic regions. The railway will provide logistics for the Northern Sea Route to boost commerce between Europe and Asia and Russian energy projects in the Arctic.
The project, named the Northern Latitudinal Railway, is planned to be completed by 2023, authorities say. It requires the building of 350km of track and modernizing the existing infrastructure. The volume of traffic on the route is estimated at 23.9 million tons a year.   Read more...
Russia plans to export meat, fish and sugar to South AfricaRussia's

Tass.com, July 27, 2018: Agriculture Ministry eyes exporting meat and fish products, butter and sugar to South Africa, Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at the BRICS summit in Johannesburg, adding that an agreement on cooperation in the fishing and mariculture sectors is planned to be signed by governments of the two countries in the near future.
"We are currently expecting South Africa's veterinary regulator to provide accreditation for Russian producers of fish and meat products. The plan is to sign a cooperation agreement between the governments of Russia and South Africa in the fishing and mariculture field in the near future," the minister was quoted as saying in a statement released on Friday.  Read more....
China planning to develop tourist routes across Russia's Arctic region

RT.com, July 27, 2018: Beijing wants to develop tourist routes in the Arctic region, the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism has told TASS. Chinese tourists, it says, are attracted to the area by its unique natural environment and complex ecosystem.
"China does not have Arctic territories, and thus this kind of tourism is of special interest for China - both from the point of view of studies, and from the point of view of new impressions, of new tourism products," said the agency's Deputy Head Nikolai Korolev.
He added that Chinese tourism operators have visited the Arkhangelsk Region where they studied the local market to see how they could organize trips for Chinese travellers.  Read more...
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan, Russia increases

Azernews.az, July 25, 2018: The delegation headed by Economy Minister, co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev is on a visit to Moscow.
During the visit, Mustafayev met with Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, co-chairman of the commission Maxim Oreshkin.
Addressing the event, Mustafayev stressed that relations between the two countries are at a strategic level and are successfully developing in all spheres, including economic and trade.    Read more..
Azerbaijan starts export of fruits and vegetables to Latvia

Azernews.az, July 25, 2018: Azerbaijan has started exporting fruit and vegetable products to Latvia, the Chairman of the Fruit and Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association Bashir Guliyev told Trend.
He noted that the volume of exports to that country is small at this stage, but the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Latvia, the opening of which will be held today in Riga, can help in this matter.
However, in addition to entering new markets, it is important to maintain the positions in the traditional markets of Azerbaijan, such as Russia and other CIS countries, Bashirov believes.  Read more...
Houston - Tyumen Sister Cities
The Tyumen region will host the Russian eSports Cup finals for the first time

En. admtyumen.ru, July 23, 2018: This was announced by Dmitry Smit, President of the Russian eSports Federation (RESF), at the signing ceremony for the Cooperation Agreement between the RESF and the Government of the Tyumen region. Alexander Moor, interim Governor, welcomed the participants noting that eSports are the new and promising area of sports, officially recognized by the Ministry of sports of Russia.
"Many young people are fascinated by eSports so one of the goals of the state is to establish conditions for their development. For many, this is not only a hobby but also an opportunity to set a future profession in the field of information technology," said Alexander Moor.    Read more...
The doctors of Tyumen Federal Centre of Neurosurgery performed a unique brain surgery on an unborn child

En.admtyumen.ru, July 24, 2018: A very complex intrauterine brain surgery was performed for the first time in the medical practice of our country (second in the world). It was performed by a team of doctors from Tyumen and Yekaterinburg.
The baby's name is Yaroslav. After the surgery performed on this May 7, his mother happily proceeded to carry him and gave birth in due time.
"The pregnancy was highly anticipated and everything was fine, but when on 22 week period ultrasound imaging has shown a serious problem in the child's brain development, something had to be done. The doctors offered us further follow-up, but we ended up in hands of experienced Yekaterinburg obstetrician-gynecologists.

Россия в 2 раза увеличила объемы зернового экспорта 

News.rambler.ru, 25 июля, 2018: Объём российского экспорта пшеницы и других зерновых культур с начала текущего сельскохозяйственного года заметно вырос по сравнению с аналогичным периодом прошлого года.

Россия заинтересована в экспорте в ЮАР масла, сахара, мяса и рыбы

Riafan.ru, 27 июля, 2018: Министр сельского хозяйства Дмитрий Патрушев сообщил, что РФ заинтересована в экспорте в Южно-Африканскую Республику масла, сахара, а также мясной и рыбной продукции.
Соответствующее заявление прозвучало на полях саммита БРИКС в Йоханнесбурге. 
По его словам, ветеринарная служба южноафриканского государства должна в ближайшее время аккредитовать российских производителей мясной и рыбной продукции. Ожидается, что соглашение о сотрудничестве между правительствами двух стран в области аквакультуры и рыбного хозяйства будут подписано в ближайшее время.  Читать далее..
