Exxon Mobil finishes one phase of massive Beaumont expansion
Beaumontenterprise.com, September 26, 2018: Exxon Mobil said Wednesday it completed a nearly $500 million refining expansion at its Beaumont campus with plans for much more oil refining and plastics growth to come at the complex. Ongoing is construction of a plastics plant and, next year, Exxon Mobil may launch another refining expansion that would place the Beaumont refinery among the nation's largest. Large crude refining expansions are rare in the U.S. because domestic fuel demand is relatively flat.

Shell sees peak output for Brazil's Lula field in 2020, 2021
Reuters.com, September 26, 2018: Brazil's most productive field, the Lula, located in the offshore Santos basin, should hit peak production in 2020 or 2021, after reaching 1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day next year, an executive at Royal Dutch Shell said on Wednesday. The increase in production next year will be helped by the launch of platforms P-67 and P-69, which should go online in 2019, according to Cristiano Pinto da Costa, Shell's general manager for the Santos basin's Lula, Sapinhoa, Iracema and Lapa fields.

Russia's international cooperation plan envisages exports growth to $250 bln by 2024
Tass.com, September 24, 2018: Russia's exports are expected to grow to $250 bln by 2024, Industry and Trade Minister told reporters after the meeting of the Presidium of the Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects. According to him this growth is envisaged by the national plan for international cooperation and exports the Council approved on Monday. "In general, the project's passport has been approved, it provides for export support in order to achieve the goal - the volume of exports of $250 bln by 2024," he said.

Tribune.com.pk, September 26, 2018: In a major breakthrough, Pakistan and Russia are set to sign a $10-billion offshore gas pipeline deal on September 27 in Moscow, a project planned by the latter to capture the energy market of Pakistan. Sources told The Express Tribune that the cabinet, during the tenure of previous Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, had approved the signing of the gas pipeline deal with Moscow.

Russian government plans to increase non-resource exports by 9.4% annually till 2024
Tass.com, September 27, 2018: Russia's government plans to increase non-resource exports by 9.4% a year to bring them to a sum of 250 billion US dollars by 2024, according to the guidelines for the government's activities till the year 2024. "It is planned to reach the following indices by 2024: exports of non-resource non-energy commodity and services - 250 billion US dollars (up by 86.2% over seven years, or an annual growth of 9.4%)," the document says.

LNG production in Russia could reach 83 mln tonnes by 2035 - Energy Ministry
Hellenicshippingnews.com, September 27, 2018: Russia can increase production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to 83 mln tonnes by 2035 from the current 21 mln tonnes, Head of Department of Oil and Gas Production and Transportation at the Russian Energy Ministry Alexander Gladkov said at the Sakhalin Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition. "From the current 21 mln tonnes, LNG production in Russia will grow to 83 mln tonnes," he said.

Russia's Roscosmos invites India to cooperate in manned space missions, satellite program
Tass.com, September 26, 2018: Russia invited India to become partners in training for manned space missions and in creating a satellite constellation for remote sensing of the earth, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin has told reporters in New Delhi. "The Russian Federation may become India's partner in manned space missions, and today we confirmed our readiness to move forward in this direction. This work includes equipment, spacecraft's damage control and calculations, which are extremely important for avoiding emergency situations," Rogozin said after a meeting with National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India Ajit Kumar Doval.

Mazda opens new engine plant in Russia
Automotivelogistics.media, 26 September 2018: Vladimir Putin and Shinzo Abe recently attended the opening ceremony of a new engine plant at Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus in Vladivostok, which was launched officially on September 10. The plant is designed to manufacture 50,000 Sky Activ-G engines per year in accordance with the Euro-5 emission standard. Investors plan to export the engines to Mazda finished vehicles assembly plants outside Russia.

Railroad transportation between Azerbaijan, Russia grows
Azernews.az, 27 September 2018: Russia is considering the possibility of supplying coal to Turkey and other countries through Azerbaijan, First Deputy Managing Director of Russian Railways JSC Alexander Misharin said. He was speaking Sept. 27 in Baku during the 9th Azerbaijan-Russia interregional forum. "Railroad transportation between Azerbaijan and Russia grew 18 percent in comparison with last year, and exceeded 6 million tons," Misharin said. Speaking about the International North-South Transport Corridor (India-Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Kazakhstan), he noted that interest in the project is growing.

По диверсификации экспорта Россия обошла Японию
