Shell achieves engineering milestone at Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex

Prnewswire.com, October 10, 2018: Shell Chemical Appalachia LLC (Shell) today announced the successful installation of its quench tower - the largest piece of equipment at its Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex, currently under construction. The heavy lift of the quench tower, undertaken October 7, marked an important milestone in the project.  Since the start of main construction in November 2017, Shell has also safely erected two of three reactors associated with the planned polyethylene units and laid around 15 miles of underground pipe for the cooling, firewater and drainage systems. LUKOIL WON THE BEST SOCIALLY-ORIENTED OIL AND GAS COMPANY CONTEST

Lukoil.com, October 9, 2018: LUKOIL won the Best Socially-Oriented Oil and Gas Company Contest as part of the 8th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
LUKOIL was awarded a certificate for best sustainability report of an oil and gas company with over one hundred thousand employees. LUKOIL-West Siberia, the company's wholly owned subsidiary, was also recognized for improvements in living standards of its employees.
The key objective of the Best Socially-Oriented Company Contest held annually by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation is to promote the oil and gas industry, as well as to identify, learn and share the experience of the companies that have been successful in solving social tasks and improving working and living conditions of their employees.

Atlantic RoRo Carriers makes its first vessel call at The Port of Philadelphia

Enportsnews.ru, August 22, 2018: Atlantic RoRo Carriers Inc. (ARRC) had its first vessel call at The Port of Philadelphia's Tioga Marine Terminal. The M/V Warnow Sun is part of ARRC's multi-cargo handling vessels of breakbulk, project cargo, vehicles, containers and heavy lift ability operating between St. Petersburg, Russia; Antwerp, Belgium and the United States East and Gulf coasts, the company said in its press release.
"ARRC Lines calling PhilaPort is a perfect fit," said Jeff Theobald, PhilaPort CEO. "The types of cargo the line carries matches the terminal's capabilities extremely well."
"The ARRC service and the types of cargo they load is exactly in our wheelhouse," said Robert Palaima President of Delaware River Stevedores (DRS) and operator of Tioga Marine Terminal. Russia forecast to make substantial oil and gas pipeline additions by 2022

Worldpipelines.com, October 11, 2018: Russia is forecast to add the highest trunk pipeline length in the Former Soviet Union oil and gas pipelines industry between 2018 and 2022, contributing a total length of 20 680 km by 2022, which will account for around 75% of the region's planned and announced oil and gas pipeline length additions, according to leading data and analytics company  GlobalData. Economy and energy dominate agenda in Russian-Slovak relations - Slovak minister

Tass.com, October 11, 2018: The prospects for expanding economic and trade cooperation will be discussed next week at the session of the Russian-Slovak inter-governmental commission. Havana to Host the First Russia-Latin America Business Forum

The event is to take place during the duration of the 16th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Cuban Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yury Borisov. Russia-Africa business forum to promote opportunities

Southerntimesafrica.com, October 8, 2018: Business opportunities for Russian companies on the African continent will be promoted at the upcoming first edition of the Russia-Africa Trade and Investment Forum (RAfTIF), planned by organizers to be a platform that serves as a bridge between Russian and African businesses, according to RAfTIF website report.

Russia agrees with Edison, DEPA to keep working on gas pipeline to Europe, says minister

Ekathimerini.com, October 9, 2018: Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Tuesday he had agreed with Italy's Edison and Greece's state-controlled gas company DEPA to continue work on a pipeline project to ship Russian natural gas into Europe. Speaking at an event in Milan, Novak also said that the Turkish Stream Project was on track for first commercial gas at the end of next year. Russia, Saudi Arabia to finalize several joint projects by end-2018, energy minister says

Tass.com, October 9, 2018: In October 2017, the two sides signed a roadmap on midterm trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation. Russia and Saudi Arabia can finalize several joint projects by the end of 2018, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview aired by the Rossiya-24 TV news channel on Tuesday. "There is a number of good projects, particularly involving Saudi Aramco, Sibur, Novatek. The companies are currently holding negotiations. As soon as they reach the final stage and it becomes clear that an agreement has been reached it will be possible to pay a visit to Saudi Arabia. IKEA eyes partnership deals to boost Russian online business

Reuters.com, October 10, 2018: IKEA Group is looking to sign strategic partnerships with Russian companies to boost its local online business, the furniture retailer's Russia country manager Pontus Erntell said on Wednesday.
IKEA, known for its flat-packed self-assembly furniture, owns 14 hypermarkets in 11 Russian cities. In the past year, it has focused on bringing customers online and that business now accounts for 8 percent of its Russian turnover.   Read more...

Russian company to supply gold mining equipment to Uzbekistan

Trend.az, October 11, 2018: Russia's Voronezh-based "Rudgormash" company will supply gold mining equipment worth 1 billion rubles ($ 15.1 million) to Uzbekistan by the end of this year, Podrobno.uz reported. "This year we are fulfilling a fairly large order for the supplies to the gold mining industry of Uzbekistan, in price terms, this order costs more than 1 billion rubles. ОПЕК повысила прогноз по добыче нефти в России

Rbc.ru, 11 октября, 2018: ОПЕК повысила прогноз по добыче жидких углеводородов в России до 11,19 млн бар/сутки, об этом говорится в докладе организации. Ранее в сентябре ОПЕК прогнозировала (pdf) добычу до 11,15 млн барр./сутки. Отмечается, что в сентябре добыча в России превысила 11,36 млн барр./сутки - это рекордный результат. Читать далее...

Vch.ru, 11 октября, 2018: В ходе выставки «Золотая осень-2018» состоялись переговоры главы Минсельхоза России Дмитрия Патрушева с Министром сельского хозяйства Венгрии Иштваном Надемом. Как отметил Дмитрий Патрушев, в январе-сентябре 2018 года товарооборот продукции АПК между Россией и Венгрией увеличился на 19,4% по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2017 года до порядка 200 млн долларов. Значительная часть суммы приходится на импорт - на российский рынок поставляется кукуруза, корма для животных, различные пищевые продукты. Россия намерена увеличить экспорт кондитерских изделий в два раза до $2 млрд

Vestifinance.ru, 11 октября, 2018: Российские кондитерские предприятия намерены к 2025 г. удвоить экспорт своих изделий, заявил исполнительный директор Ассоциации предприятий кондитерской промышленности (АСКОНД) Вячеслав Лашманкин. "Рассчитываем в перспективе до 2025 г. увеличить экспорт продукции как минимум в два раза", - отметил Лашманкин. В 2017 г. российские кондитеры поставили за рубеж товаров на $1 млрд.
