Reflection...
Friends,
As you know, the Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Association appointed the Rev. SofĂa Betancourt, the Rev. William G. Sinkford, and Leon Spencer to lead the UUA after President Peter Morales's resignation. Coming back from our Regional Assembly, I can tell you our Association as a whole is in the process of deep soul searching about the fact that Unitarian Universalism, like our society as a whole, tends to swim in the waters of white privilege. This is not easy to discuss, but I am proud that our congregation is beginning the conversation this Sunday.
We are joining 500 other UU congregations to participate in growing our awareness. If you are interested in exploring the idea of privilege privately, there is a short awareness "quiz" here:

Thank you for standing up when it matters.
In blessing -
Rabbi Chava

Starting in June, we jump into yet another wonderful Specialty Class Summer for our younger children! If you have a hobby or a lesson that you'd like to share with the children prek-5th grade over the summer, please contact me. June-Labor Day our youth will attend services.
