Reflection...

We call upon all those who have lived on this Earth,
our ancestors and our friends,
who dreamed the best for future generations,
and upon whose lives our lives are built,
and with thanksgiving, we call upon them to -

Teach us, and show us the Way.

- excerpt from Chinook Blessing Litany

Beloveds,

Please join us this Sunday as we celebrate First Nations Day as well as a time of honoring the fathers in our lives on this special Father's Day.

In blessing -

Rabbi Chava

***************
Reminders:

- There will be no Sunday service on July 2 - we are giving the Sunday Services Committee a Sabbath!

- Rabbi Chava will be taking a sabbatical in July.  The purpose of this time is for rest, reflection and reading.  Rabbi Chava will make a pilgrimage to Gethsemani Abbey in Kentucky, do a naming ceremony for her great niece, and speak at the Spirituality Conference of the School Sisters of Saint Francis in Milwaukee.

Sunday Service
Sunday, June 18 -  Rabbi Chava Bahle with Margaret Wozniak
1 0:30 AM Service:   "Walking in Beauty"

Today is First Nations Day in Canada, and also Father's Day.  Let's gather and honor the spirit of our Native neighbors and fathers.

The Great Spirit is in all things, he is in the air we breathe.
The Great Spirit is our Father, but the Earth is our Mother.
She nourishes us, that which we put into the ground she returns to us.

Sunday Service:  10:30 a.m.
Sunday programming for Children and Youth throughout the remainder of this program year will complement Sunday Services in our efforts to move closer to congregational thematic ministry.  This thematic calendar will explore the Six Source traditions, and consider wisdom from around the world.
