Grace Presents Ukrainian Pianist Yana Groves Saturday, May 18 Noon
The next Grace Presents concert will feature classical pianist Yana Groves from the Ukraine. Yana will play works by Bach, Debussy, and Schubert. The concert, as always, is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring in your lunch from the Farmer's Market to enjoy during the concert.

Biography:
Yana Groves made her New York debut in May, 2012, as soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto K.488 with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra. This event coincided with her graduation summa cum laude from the State University of New York (Plattsburgh). Prior to that time she had accompanied vocal soloists and a number of choral groups, as well as participating in performances of Handel's Dido and Aeneas and the Saint-Saens Christmas Oratorio.
The breadth of her musicality has extended to productions of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
A native of Ukraine, Groves is currently in the Piano Performance Graduate Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, under the tutelage of the Van Cliburn medal-winner pianist Christopher Taylor, and was recently name a co-winner of the Irvin Shain woodwind-piano duo competition at the UW. Earlier she was nurtured by Karen Becker, Glazirina Tatiana, and through master classes with Evgenia Tzarov and Helen Huang.
