Program Teaches Teens About the Realities of Parenting 

As part of our efforts to promote sexual literacy and prevent teen pregnancy in the East Harlem community, Union Settlement provides teens with electronic babies that simulate the parenting experience.  You can view photos and read about the program on the Huffington Post Voces website, or watch a video clip in Spanish and English on New York 1 Noticias.

Union Settlement's Executive Director has led advocacy efforts to pass NYS legislation to ensure non-profits can employ licensed social workers.  He has spoken out on New York 1 Inside City Hall, through an Op-Ed in the New York Daily News, and in an article by the New York Nonprofit Press.
