New Style Orion
Orion Rug with Telescope

We're extremely pleased to announce the introduction of our latest broadloom offering, Orion. And the reason we're extremely pleased is because we're extremely certain it will sell like crazy and become a very important part of your product assortment. Here's why: Orion is a traditional loop-pile Berber which is anything but unique here at Unique. What sets it apart is that it offers a great deal of apparent value for not a great deal of dough and products in this price category continue to play to a very large audience.

Orion is tufted using 100% pure new wool, is available in five viable background color-ways, and is manufactured exclusively for us in Belgium. It's in-stock and ready to go NOW should any of your customers have immediate needs. Samples in all the conventional sizes will be available shortly.

A Swell Deal Just For You
Envoy Sale
Introduced around the first of the year in 2015, Envoy was launched as a companion to the incredibly successful Ambassador, which was introduced a few months prior.  Both have the identical big-bold texture but Ambassador is a heather and Envoy is a subtle stripe in the same color-ways.  So Envoy offers some great mix-and-match opportunities as well as being an ideal selection for area rug application.  We'd expected stronger results than we've seen thus far and feel Envoy got lost in the crowd during a very aggressive new product introduction cycle.

As a result, we'd like you to give it another look because large-scale loops are extremely popular these days and Envoy is one of the best. To incent you to do just that, we are offering an extremely generous promotion. Between now and June 30th 2017 Envoy is being offered at a TWENTY-FIVE percent discount off regular price. Now pay attention because here is what you have to do to qualify.  Well, actually, you don't have to do anything. No promo code in the upper right corner.  No rebate form. No coupon. No qualifying amount. Nuthin! You do have to order some of course and the discount will be taken off invoice immediately. So there you have it. Is that great or what? Now get out there and make us proud.

Felted Wool
O.k... we've got your woolen spun and worsted yarns.  And nylon?  Oh yeah, we got that. One, two, and three-ply yarns?  Got those too!  And felted wool...Whoa, Felted Wool?  What the heck is that?

Felt is a kind of cloth that has been around for a long time. In fact, people have been making felt longer than any other kind of fabric. Felt can be made in any size shape and color and is used to make many things like clothing hats and rugs. Nomadic people live in tents made of felt.
Yurts
Here's a question that will be on the final exam so pay attention!  What is the difference between Wool Felt and Felted Wool? Felt (a noun) is created by agitating fibers either by using barbed needles or by getting the fibers wet and tangling them into each other to make a non-woven fiber. To felt something (a verb) implies adding heat, water, and agitation to a pre-existing fabric, or for our purposes, a pre-spun yarn. This forces the fibers to lock making them less likely to loosen or u ntangle.

R umor has it that back in the way-back days, nomadic tribesmen found that the moisture, heat, and agitation caused by hard riding turned their saddle pads to a high-performance and longer lasting item and "felting" (the verb) was born. Apart from performance , felted yarns are aesthetically very appealing as well.

St. Moritz
Many Unique products use felted wool yarn. In our custom broadloom collection there's Moon Shadows, Coral Sea and Mirabella. In rugs our products St Moritz, Sumptuous, Mop Top, and Bombay, among others, also use felted wool. And of course those yarns are also available for custom creations.
