SA Youth Sailing Rockin' Rockport
TBA Rockport Yacht Club will bring It's 2nd TSA sanctioned youth sailing Regatta to Rockport on June 17-18, 2017. Potentially 90 boats may participate, bringing families to the Rockport area for that weekend.  RYA will, also, continue their Youth Sailing Program with learn to sail sessions for youth and adults. 
 
 
 
Texas Game Warden Fishing Tournament
June 16-17, 2017 The Texas Game Warden Association will host its 8th annual fishing tournament and concert in the park at Fulton Harbor Park Enjoy fishing, food and live entertainment. FMI 361-815-5752 


Aransas Pathways
June 2- 10am - ADA Kayak Site Grand Opening - Aransas Pathways will open its first ADA Compliant kayak site, located in Lamar along Lamar Beach Road, at the County Ramp. Public is invited.The launch is in the North Corner of the facility. Kayaks are set up on a roller bed om the floating launch site and rolled into the water. Returning kayakers can pull themselves back onto the roller bed using the handles provided. Site has ADA parking and discharge area. FMI:361- 729- 6445  www.aransaspathways.com

Leadership Aransas County  
June 3 -The Leadership Aransas County (LAC) Alumni Association in conjunction with Aransas Pathways is hosting the 2nd Annual LAC Attack Kayak Fishing Tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2017. This will be a C.P.R. Catch, Photo, Release Tournament. Newcomers and experienced "yak fishermen" are all welcome to take part in the tournament. Come alone or sign-up the entire family and make a day of it. 361-729-6445 

Birding 101
June 6- 9 -11am - Rock[port Beach - Each summer, children 7-16 years discover the joy of birding by participating in the class "Birding 101 for Kids." These introductory classes are designed to teach students the fundamentals of bird identification and at the same time give them a greater understanding of their local environment. Students will learn how to use binoculars, bird identification with a strong focus on field marks, eat like a bird, make a bird feeder, and sketch a bird or plant just like the famous ornithologist, James Audubon. Students are asked to bring their own binoculars if possible, but we several pairs that we can loan out on a first-come basis. Please dress for the weather and wear sunscreen, hat etc. Classes are   free   and pre-registration required. Parents are welcome to stay, or drop off their kids. Pick up and drop off are in the same location.  Rockport Beach Front Park, Seabreeze Drive, Rockport. Alzheimer's The Longest Day Walk

Fulton Mansion State Historic Site
June 13 -   7-8:30 pm  -  Music at the Mansion -    Tuesday, June 13, 2017  - Come out to enjoy the band Old School with their blend of Classic Rock, Country, and Blues.  John Burke on guitar and vocals, Tony Tish on bass and vocals, Roger Rangel on drums, and Raul Hernandez on guitar. Lawn chairs and blankets recommended for seating. Concessions available for purchase.  Pets welcome! Music at the Mansion is available to visitors free of charge courtesy of the Friends of Fulton Mansion.   Rising above the Aransas Bay and surrounded by stately live oaks, Fulton Mansion State Historic Site is located in the resort area of Rockport-Fulton. The house must have appeared incredible in 1877, as it does today, with its mansard roof and ornate trim. Interior gas lighting, flush-toilets, and other refinements were progressive and luxurious elements for this part of Texas history. Mansion hours are  Tue-Sat 10am - 4pm and Sun 1-4pm Visit the Education and History Center Tues-Sat 9:30-4:30pm. Rockport Center for the Arts  
Rockport Center for the Arts presents its 20th annual free summer program for children and teens, ARTSPACE: Youth Summer Art Explorations.  All eight sessions are open to youth entering grades 1-8 in the upcoming Fall school year.  This camp is FREE for children who attend school in Aransas County, and is $75 per camp per child for those who attend school outside of Aransas County.  All sessions are the same, so please select one (1) camp session only. We encourage you to register early!
