Easter Evangelization Opportunities

Conferences, Trainings and Webinars

An Evangelizing Moment

What an amazing moment that must have been when Mary Magdalene discovered the empty tomb and the meeting of Jesus after the resurrection.  Have you ever pondered all she went through in those days?  What an experience that must have been to share and witness to the other disciples; to be able to share her faith in such a real and profound way.  The thought of this story ceases to capture my imagination and stir up such faith in me that I can't help but share it with others every day...perhaps there is something in the Resurrection Story that stirs that evangelizing impulse in you?  What is it?

So it is in this Easter Evangelical Spirit this e-mail comes to you with the hope together we might discover something new and inspiring, something that might cause greater evangelization efforts from each one of us and our parish communities, by learning something new at these upcoming Adult Faith and Evangelization opportunities-training, webinars, and conferences.

Basic Evangelization Training

May 13, 2017 at St. Francis De Sales, Akron

9:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

Ever wanted to share your Catholic faith with others, but didn’t know how to get the conversation started?  Come learn how!

St. Paul Street Evangelization provides a non-confrontational avenue for you to share Jesus Christ and the truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith with a hungry culture.  We have developed a practical method for breaking the ice and asking some simple questions to quickly determine where a person is in their faith journey.  This method provides you with a road map of how the conversation will go and how to plant seeds by sharing your own personal experiences to help the person move to the next step.

This is the perfect training for those who go door to door, have booths at fairs, carnivals or festivals or host welcome tents in the community.

Basic Evangelization Training will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at St. Francis de Sales Parish 4019 Manchester Road, Akron Ohio on May 13, 2017.  Cost is $30.00 per person.  Space is limited.  Click here for more information.

Faith Formation for the Generations & Seasons of Adulthood

May 2, 2017

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Presented by: John Roberto

One of the key features of twenty-first century adult faith formation is addressing the unique life tasks, needs, interests, and spiritual and faith journeys at each stage of adulthood: young adults (20s-30s), midlife adults (40s-50s), mature adults (mid 50s-mid 70s), and older adults (75+).

Given this great diversity across the adult stage of life, it is imperative that adult faith formation programs, activities, and resources are targeted and tailored to the lives of adults—at each stage of life and in each generation.

This webinar will provide practical approaches for addressing the four seasons of adulthood using new 21st century tools and methods.

This webinar by Ave Maria Press Professional Webinar Series is presented in partnership with: National Association for Lay Ministry, National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministry, National Conference for Catechetical Leadership, and the National Federation of Priests' Councils

Transformative Leadership Conference

May 22-25, 2017

DFW Hyatt Regency

2334 North International Parkway

DFW Airport, Texas, USA, 75261

By: National Conference For Catechetical Leadership

Global End of the Organization: Members of the NCCL will achieve competence as leaders in the ministries of evangelization and catechesis within the teaching mission of the multi-cultural Catholic Church in the United States.

This year's conference will provide opportunities for professional formation, interactive networking and inventive encounter for faith formation and catechesis.

Monday: Contemplation will serve as the foundation of Personal Transformation, appreciating the movement of God throughout our lives while attending to its veracities, leading each individual to nurture the formation of the conscience.

Tuesday:  Attendees will experience a look at the possibilities of transforming a group, using Imagination as the essential factor to engage others in change. A Prophetic Communal Transformation happens when actively engaging in the imaginative process of possibility.

Wednesday:  Participants will widen their scope, focusing on Vision: Articulating a Catechetical Future. Launching the day will be a glimpse at the national landscape the membership represents, and determining the direction that moves catechesis into relevance for tomorrow. Concluding with a panel of speakers demonstrating a multicultural approach for the future Church, this day is bound to bring a transformative catechetical leadership.

Thursday: Will send all attending into Mission: Leadership for the World. The Gospel is not meant to be contained within ourselves, our ministry, or our professional network, but is meant to transform the world through missionary outreach. Catechesis cannot be contained or confined, but must ripple out, and draw in the whole of the world.
