For someone starting a business, addressing legal issues can be intimidating from both a cost and time perspective. Mapping a startup's initial legal needs can help create predictability around expenses, clarify questions of prioritization of expenses, and improve allocation of resources.
Gina Atwood will outline the common legal needs of startups - corporate formation and governance, contracts, IP and Securities. The presentation will provide education on some of the core legal issues faced by startup, and offer suggestions for how to improve the predictability of legal expenses. It will be followed by an interactive session where interested attendees will brainstorm with Gina about their startup needs.
