Teens Teaching Teens

 

Would you like to teach a class to other teens at the library?  You might choose to teach a class on something you are really good at - for example, would you like to show a group of teens how to make duct tape bracelets, origami, decorate flip-flops or sneakers beading, nail art, scrapbooking, rock painting, knitting, or simply show off your favorite apps?   We will provide the materials, YOU supply your knowledge!

AARP Driver Safety Program
Wednesday, January 10th

AARP has been conducting Driver Safety programs for the last 30 years, and follow-up studies have shown 97% of participants improved their driving habits after taking this class. Attendees will receive a 5% reduction off liability premiums for 3 years. No test will be conducted.

Registration is required and is going on now. There is a fee of $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members

Color Your Cares Away - Coloring for Adults
Tuesdays, January 16th and 30th

Come to the library and recover from that holiday stress. Touted as a therapeutic source of creativity and relaxation, adults all over the world are rediscovering the joy of coloring. Adults only please.

Knitting Circle with Susan Leibowitz  
Thursdays, January 18th, January 25th, February 1st and February 8th
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
 
 
In a small group setting, you'll have the opportunity to grow your knitting skills and knowledge while gaining confidence and independence. Guidance, instruction and encouragement will be provided with patience and humor by Susan Leibowitz, a certified Craft Yarn and Council Knit and Crochet Instructor.  This is not a learn-to-knit program, however support for all skill levels will be provided.  Come to the first class with whatever is on your needles.
