Taliesin is the home, studio, school, and agricultural estate of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright  with seven buildings designed by Wright between 1886 and 1959, and nearly 800 acres of designed landscapes Join us in 2017 as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Wright's birth and the 50th anniversary of the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center Visit the Taliesin Preservation website for the full slate of events.

Each Friday, July-September
Twilight at Taliesin Tour
5-7 p.m.

Experience Taliesin in the atmosphere of early evening on this 2-hour leisurely look at Wright's home Taliesin. Your guide will lead you from the orchard through the gardens and courtyards, to Taliesin, where you'll tour Wright's home and studio. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks and end the evening with a light dessert on Wright's bedroom terrace.

Photographing Wright
with Andrew Pielage

The architecture of Taliesin is the backdrop for a enjoyable weekend of photography with award-winning professional photographer Andrew Pielage. Participants of this workshop will have access to intimate interior and exterior spaces of the Taliesin estate. This course is designed for both beginning and experienced photographers.

Celebrating Wright’s 150th
In Word and Music: The Taliesin Community Chorus Presents a World Premiere Composition


Taliesin Preservation and the Rural Musicians Forum present music and spoken word from Frank Lloyd Wright to Bach, Copland, and others — and the world premiere of a new choral composition by Scott Gendel in honor of Wright’s 150th performed by the Taliesin Community Chorus and d irected by Effi Casey.

Taliesin Farm Dinner Series

In the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright's organic architecture and Taliesin's rich farming history, Taliesin Preservation will host three farm dinners in 2017, each dinner featuring the produce and harvest of the season. Join us for a dining experience celebrating the Taliesin landscape and highlighting the land-use legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Each event includes a 
four-course farm-to-table dinner with local beer and wine in a relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking environment. Dinner will be sourced from local producers, including farm-fresh seasonal vegetables from the Taliesin Farm.

“Pedro E. Guerrero: 

A Photographer’s Journey”


An exhibit of Pedro E. Guerrero's photography in the Dana Gallery with a reception featuring local cheese and a cash bar, followed by a screening of the PBS American Masters documentary “Pedro E. Guerrero: A Photographer’s Journey” at Taliesin’s Hillside Theater. The event celebrates the 20-year friendship between Wright and Guerrero. A milestone year for both, it is Guerrero’s 100th and Wright’s 150th birthdays. Please RSVP fo this free event.

50th Anniversary Celebration at the Frank Lloyd Wright
Visitor Center

This free open house commemorates the 50th anniversary of the opening night of The Spring Green restaurant, now known as the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. Taliesin Preservation invites local residents, former staff of The Spring Green, and the general public to join us for an exhibit of photos by Bob Hartman (former Wright in Wisconsin president), and an evening of talks by special guests.
