Schoolyard CX Clinic Goes Big
This past Wednesday, women CX'ers had an opportunity to attend a rockin' clinic at Dawson School. The turnout was over 50 women, with 20ish brand new crossers, all of whom are coming out to try their first cross race tomorrow. Way, way, cool! Thank you so much to everyone who made this happen, Clint, Lina, Pete Webber, Boulder Junior Cycling, Boulder Cycle Sport, Dawson School, Goddess Garden, Great Divide Brewery, and all the great coaches who donated their time.
Kristal Boni, Caitlyn Vestal, Melissa Barker, Melanie Carter and the junior coaches Tea, Taylor, Kate & Reagan. USA Cycling also provided financial support for the clinic, and BRAC is going to offset the costs for the newbie women that come out tomorrow. Now that they have practiced, we imagine the women's fields will be huge at Schoolyard Cross.

Upcoming Events
Another fan favorite, Schoolyard cross can always be counted on to provide interesting activities as well as a great course. The 2017 Schoolyard Cross is at the namesake venue at Alexander Dawson School in Lafayette, CO. This is a tactical course. They have a mid-day harvest theme distraction. Juniors who pre-reg race free in junior categories. They are also having a huge team expo where many Colorado teams will by flying their colors.
The Cyclo-X series continues with the return of Boulder Res.
The Boulder Reservoir course features a little bit of everything and lots of sand, get ready for a beach party! Open grass, tight twisty turns, technical sand, and short punchy climbs highlight this course!
There is CX on the Western Slope! This is the start of the Urban Tread Adventure series in Grand Junction. The first race goes off at 4 PM and then it goes well into the night. Come try out a nightime CX race, one of the few, or the only.
It's back for another year, but something new has been added -- Yes, our first Halloween Costume Contest. The best 3 costumes of the entire race day will win FABULOUS PRIZES, courtesy of your friendly promoters. Pre-reg closes Thursday, 10/26 at 11:59 PM.
