Poems and Prayers for the Earth - A Creative Writing Workshop: Saturday June 9


Through intriguing, fun writing exercises and graduated, brief writing prompts, guided meditations, expressive arts, brief nature walks and chi gong, participants will be guided to find his or her voice in harmony with nature. Turn that voice into a flow of words on paper with effortless economy, wisdom and freedom. All will be invited to share their experiences and writing with the group. Some, may choose to participate quietly.

The theme of our exploration and writing will be love of nature and stewardship of our planet Earth. Open to teens and adults of all ages and all faith traditions interested in bypassing overwhelm regarding the challenges faced by our planet and entering a space of deeper knowing and empowered expression. We each have a heart song. Learn simple steps to put your song on paper. No previous writing experience required.

Lovely vegetarian lunch, snacks and use of the beautiful grounds of Wisdom House included.

Fracking Waste Ban Update

Stamford passed a fracking waste ban on Monday, May 7.  Clinton had a resounding "yes" voice vote on Tuesday, May 8, but will need to vote by paper on Thursday, May 17.
NORWALK: Tuesday, May 15, 2018: Norwalk Town Hall at 7:00 pm.  Public hearing to consider a ban on fracking waste.
CLINTON: Thursday, May 17, 2018: Voting by paper ballot from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Clinton Town Hall.
WATERFORD: June 14, 2018 : Waterford will consider it at their 6/4/18 meeting of the RTM. 7pm in the Town Hall Auditorium.
Climate Change & Connecticut - Gubernatorial Forum on June 5

On Tuesday, June 5, the CT Climate Coalition will host a gubernatorial forum on climate change in the McCook Auditorium at Trinity College from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Free and open to the public!
