Community Boating's 28th Annual Raise the Sails Gala!

at the beautiful and prestigious Liberty Hotel Ballroom.

 

The evening includes an open beer and wine bar, hors d'oeuvres, silent and live auction, raffles, dancing and more, to support CBI's junior and accessible sailing programs. 

Once the Charles Street Jail, this converted hotel is situated in the heart of Beacon Hill and is a key sponsor of this event, donating the space. The generosity of the Liberty Hotel ensures that the bulk of the proceeds of this event will directly support our Junior and Universal Access Programs.

Sunday September 23rd 2:00pm-4:00pm: Jazz Along the Charles

A free public Jazz event will take place along the Charles River Esplanade. It will feature 25 jazz ensembles at 25 different locations all within walking distance. Sign out a sailboat, kayak, windsurfer, or paddleboard and see what you can hear from the water!

Tuesday September 25th 5:00pm: Women's Racing Open House

Do you need practice for your on the water test? Are you just interested in improving your skills?

We’ll be flexible based on the wind conditions. Possible activities include testing practice, taking a test, or just sailing for fun!

Monday October 15th 6:00pm to 9:00pm: Corporation Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Corporation will be held on Monday October 15th from 6-9pm. We hope to see you there!

Save the date for our Fall Work Parties!

Saturday, November 3rd, 10AM-3PM: Fleet Work Party: Help haul all the Mercuries out of the Charles, de-rig them, and flip them upside down on the dock. 

Saturday, November 10th, 10AM-3PM: Facility Work Party: Help us clean out Main Bay along with the rest of the boathouse. Tasks include stacking Mercury sailboats up on the fences, wrapping sails, and more!

No prior experience required. All are welcome! Lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided.

Just a friendly reminder we close everyday at sunset; keep in mind sunset is getting earlier. Don't forget Mercuries are due in by sunset and all other watercraft are due in 1/2 hour before sunset.

Columbus Day, Monday October 8th: CBI will be open at 9am! Parking at the LAZ lot is still only available after 5pm.
