Connecting Ministries to Resources through Leadership
On January 29, 2017 at Central District's Leadership Training, over 20 people attended the Missions Workshop, put on by Lisa Morris, Executive Director of Metro Ministries, and Allison Curts, the Indiana Conference Associate Director of Discipleship Development.
Attendees from 12+ churches learned about new strategies for their mission teams, about local to global opportunities for missions and ministry, and about evaluating the relevancy and effectiveness of their own churches' ministries.
On January 21 and 22, the mission team and women of Franklin Grace UMC hosted a mission fair, which featured over 18 different missions!
Through "bridge talk", the congregation learned about the many missions and outreach opportunities possible with Lucille Raines, Johnson Memorial Hospital, Soup's On Ministry, Interchurch Food Pantry, and many more.
Jean Ellis, After-School Meal Coordinator at Brightwood Community Center, needs your help preparing after-school meals for 20 students that attend BCC's after-school program Monday through Thursday during the school year.

You are invited to join our Lenten Breakfast, which will be held at
Castleton UMC on Saturday, March 4, at 8 a.m.
The theme is "Love Our Neighbor" (Matthew 25:40).
Funds raised will go toward Metro Ministries Youth Ministry grants provided to Central Indiana churches and community ministries.
The cost for the event is $7 per person (pre-registered) or $15 at the door.
