Yom HaZikaron & Yom Ha'Atzmaut 
Sunday, April 26, 2015 beginning at 4:00 PM

Join us at 4:00 PM to commemorate Israel's Memorial Day, the most solemn of days in Israel. We will gather together to remember the fallen Israeli soldiers and victims of terrorism. 
 
Following our commemoration we will celebrate Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day. Our celebration will include an Israeli dinner including Falafel & Pita, Hummus, Tahini, Israeli Salads, Desserts, and more. 

RSVP's are requested in order to ensure enough food for everyone.

Cost for this meal is $7 a person or $25 a family. $3 for kids ages 4-10, kids 3 and under are free. You can RSVP by calling  574-233-1164  or by visiting our website here.

Schpok Spirit of Federation Award
Nominations Are Due May 15.


Nominations for the Betty and Sam Schpok Spirit of Federation Awards are being accepted at the Federation office through   May 15.  The awards are given annually to honor two individuals who have demonstrated personal commitment, dedication and leadership to the Jewish community.  They  will be presented at the Jewish F ederation's Annual Meeting on June 4.  

 

 All Jewish organizations and individuals are invited to nominate candidates. Nominations should  include the Nominee's name, contact information,  and qualifications for the award: list the Nominee's current and past service to the Jewish community of St. Joseph Valley; explain how the Nominee has made a significant investment of time and shown a passion for Jewish life in our community and/or globally; explain how the Nominee has been a role model who inspires others to serve the Jewish community.
