Harvest Moon Festival, 6-9 PM at the Lussier Family Heritage Center. This festival is a fundraising event for Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area.

Road salt applicator trainings (roadways).This training kicks off a series of training events (more listed below) that cover best winter maintenance practices that keep roadways and other paved surfaces safe without using excessive salt. Completing this training will certify attendees under the City of Madison’s new winter salt certification program.
Statewide DOJ drug take-back events. In addition to taking unused medications to MedDroplocations throughout Dane County year-round, residents can participate in this statewide collection event to prevent medication theft and water pollution.
The district continues to offer funding for reducing water softener and road salt use. Visit the district's
