Fall 2017 Pollution Prevention-Related Events:
October 12

October 13
Harvest Moon Festival , 6-9 PM at the Lussier Family Heritage Center. This festival is a fundraising event for Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area.

October 25
Road salt applicator trainings (roadways) . This training kicks off a series of training events (more listed below) that cover best winter maintenance practices that keep roadways and other paved surfaces safe without using excessive salt. Completing this training will certify attendees under the City of Madison’s new winter salt certification program.

Statewide DOJ drug take-back events . In addition to taking unused medications to MedDrop locations throughout Dane County year-round, residents can participate in this statewide collection event to prevent medication theft and water pollution.

Deadline for submitting applications for the district’s 2017 road salt reduction grants .
