Upcoming Special Events Today & Thru September

Friday, 9/18--The annual Kiwanis Donation Spaghetti Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 PM at the Montezuma Rimrock Fire Station.  The food is good, the company of your family and friends is even better, and the proceeds will benefit community projects in the MR Fire District.  Event staff includes:  Beaver Creek Kiwanis, Montezuma Rimrock Fire District Personnel, Beaver Creek School Kiwanis K-Kids and Builders Clubs, and the Kiwanis Key Club, as well as many of your friends.  The Rimrock Philharmonic will be providing the music and there are some good raffles.

NEW Saturday, 9/26--The Rimrock Writers will hold their first meeting at 10 AM in the BC Library.  A sign-up sheet is at the library front desk that includes an info handout and a writing exercise. Additional details are provided at [email protected] or by contacting Susan at  [email protected]  

Saturday, 9/26-A Hot Night for the Firefighters will be from 5 to 9 PM at Campo De Ensueno, 115 Camp Lincoln Rd, Camp Verde.  This is a benefit to support the Camp Verde and Montezuma Rimrock Fire District Auxiliaries. $25 tickets are available at the fire stations, from members, and at Babe's.  Tickets include live music from the David Parker Band, Babe's BBQ, door prizes, a bounce house for kids, and a Budweiser beer garden.  Kids 12 and under free.  Please bring your own blanket or lawn chairs.  (See flyer below)

Thru 9/26-- Grace Community Lutheran Church in Rimrock began a new trial youth program "Sunday School at Home" consisting of a simple weekly Sunday School-type lesson to be taught at home by parents. Lesson materials will be provided and will include simple craft projects. The program will run for four weeks beginning 8/30 through 9/20/15, On Saturday evening of the fourth week there will be a contemporary Church service. Heads up for October

Friday-Saturday, 10/2 & 10/3--The Annual Fall Rummage Sale at the Beaver Creek Adult Center runs from 9 AM to 4 PM on Friday and from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.  Rummage items are now needed at the Center, but please no clothing.  Electronic equipment such as computers or TVs will not be accepted.  Please only bring items that are in good condition.  Small appliances must work.  Help is needed on Thursday, 10/1, to help set up.  Please call the Center at 928-567-4556 for more information.
 
Saturday, 10/3-An Oktoberfest/Car Show will be held in Rollins Park and the Ranch House parking lot from 2 to 5 PM.  Everything is free which includes car display, brats, hot dogs, lemonade, a bounce house, kid's activities and cookies.  The event is co-sponsored by the Grace Community Lutheran Church and Beaver Creek Kiwanis.  Please call Susan Hillman at 928-567-2752 for the details. 

Friday, 10/9--Free Flu Shots (provided by Yavapai County Health Dept) will be offered in the BC Adult Center from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Upcoming Classes at Vintages

Saturday- September 19, 1 to 5 PM --SUSTAINABLE BACKYARD BEEKEEPING
Bella Donna, Local Beekeeper and Natural Healthcare Practitioner is offering a basic beekeeping class to anyone interested in beekeeping, those who are already have been or those who are wannaBEEs. The program is held at her home in Lake Montezuma which houses an apiary of six to fifteen hives throughout the changing seasons. More information and registration can be found on her website at:
