Bones Thriving After Surgery

Bones on ramp in harness
Foster, Mama Lou introduces Bones to his new ramp Gary built for him. Bones is wearing his amputee Ruff Wear harness from Tripawds.

Bones is gaining weight and strength every day.  He is adapting well to getting around with just 3 legs.  He has been a wonderful patient.  However, he is not adapting well to living in an antique and thrift shop, and he's quite clear about that!  We don't know if he dislikes all the wonderful clutter of a shop, or if he simply prefers to be outside. Or heck, maybe there's a ghost.

Special Adoption:  I think Bones will want to find a furever home in the country with a huge fenced yard. He will do best with people who work out of the home.   He would have his choice of couch lounging and TV with his family or roaming outside.  Bet he could learn to use a doggie door.

Now that his pain is gone, he's turning out to be a sweet and gentle young man.  Bones clearly knows we're helping him and strange as it might sound, he seems grateful.  I know he would want to say, "Thanks everyone!"

To continue helping the most desperate animals like Bones, we will be in continuing need of donations for veterinary treatment, both routine and major medical.  We'll need funds to buy food, vaccines, medicine and supplies.  Here's hoping we can continue to count on your support.
