REJOICE WITH US! Due to the generous and sacrificial giving of both individuals and churches, we are now at
75% in our funding. More importantly, the partnerships that God has arranged will benefit Sweden for a long time to come. We are so grateful!
Our time to leave for Sweden is coming quickly. We are in the home stretch now and just need a little more help.
YOU are such a vital part of this ministry!
Together we can make a difference. We are a team working as ONE!
With much appreciation, Jim and Lynn

A Legacy for Sweden
...
...and Why Your Generosity Means So Much Too!
Cliff and Shirlee Vennerstrom were veteran missionaries with Converge Worldwide. Their entire lives were all about serving God and sharing the good news of Christ. They were teachers and church planters - faithful servants whose whole purpose was to see others come to know the God they loved.
This passion for service was instilled in them at a young age, modeled for them by both of their parents. They were taught at home that they each needed to know Christ personally. And their parents also showed them the importance of sharing this good news with others.
From 1963 to 1972, Cliff and Shirlee served God at the Good Shepherd School in Ethiopia. From 1985 to 1992, they planted churches in the Philippines, Ethiopia, and Cameroon. Always ready to travel somewhere to minister, always open to what God was asking them to do - willing to sacrifice the comforts of home and closeness to family - they dedicated their lives to the One who had set their own hearts on fire.
In retirement
, Cliff and Shirlee had a renewed interest in their personal ancestries. Both had family roots in Sweden. All of Cliff's grandparents had immigrated to Wisconsin in the 1890's. Shirlee's grandparents and father came as well, but her father's siblings remained in Sweden. She still has many cousins there and Cliff and Shirlee have visited them four times.
Shortly after their last Sweden trip in 2013, we had the privilege of meeting the Vennerstrom's and sharing what God was doing in Stockholm and beyond. They were so excited for both us and the gospel.
On November 11 of last year, at age 84, Cliff lost a battle with pancreatic cancer and gained an eternal glory. When gifts honoring his memory were given, Shirlee sensed how they were to be used. In her words,
"It seemed God said supporting mission work in Sweden was where these gifts should go. I pray God is glorified and His kingdom built in this way."
Whether by life or by death, the Vennerstrom's hearts are to see the Light of Christ once again dawning in the darkness. They have bestowed on us and on Sweden a great honor - just as each of you do with your sacrificial partnership for Christ and His kingdom.
We are humbled and grateful.
