Update on the 4th QUARTER  CHALLENGE
This past Sunday we had a great group stay after church for our chili lunch. The elders announced the financial CHALLENGE ahead for us in the 4th Quarter of the year. We are asking that each family turn in a "My Giving" card. One side indicates "I'll try tithing." The other side is to participate in a special offering for our 4th Quarter Building Challenge.

Update: So far 51 families have turned in cards (our goal is 146 families) and pledged  $40,550 (goal of $90,000).

We praise God for early commitments and gifts. We have a long way to go to meet this essential year-end mortgage payment. Will you turn in your commitment this Sunday to express your love and support of our shared ministry?

Serve our Community in a Fun Way
Saturday, October 29, 1-3 pm

Our largest community event takes place this Saturday. We still need lots of bags of unopened candy to make this event a success. Drop off tonight or during the day on Thursday. We also have multiple volunteer spots available. Questions? Contact the church at 314 837-2269.

Becoming an Elder or Deacon
On Sunday, October 30, we will have an informational meeting about serving as an elder or deacon at First Christian. Members are invited to stay for a meeting about biblical qualifications, how those roles work in our church, and how a person submits their name for consideration. The congregational meeting on Sunday, December 11 will include a ballot to affirm names recommended by our elders. The meeting will be this Sunday in Guest Point at 11:45 am.
