Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, Gainesville, Florida
Thank you very much for registering for this exciting opportunity to focus on your floral photography with others who share the same passion. Our classroom portions will be based right in the garden in their conference room and reception hall.

Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, Florida (please plan travel accordingly)
It is a serene garden with lots of natural areas. A one mile trail is flat and easy to navigate. Roller bags and tripods are welcome.
Please consider staying at the hotel since we will go until 9pm on Day 2 and will be working at the conference room in the hotel on Day 3.
Country Inn & Suites (1 mi from garden) is offering us a discounted rate starting at $89/nt + tax. Book soon to reserve your room. Their larger suites are very spacious and more than adequate for 2 people and all their gear. ITINERARY (subject to change)
Day 1, Tuesday, May 2nd: Kanapaha 9:30am - 5pm
Our day will begin at 9:30am with registration and orientation in the main conference hall followed by presentations and shooting in the garden. Weather will dictate the order of events. Lunch will be on your own, however there will be an option to purchase food for delivery.
Jackie Kramer - Introduction & overview of workshop
Heléna Adelmann - Overview on her approach to the gardens and editing for an "Old World" feel
Trudy Ray - And introduction to Lensbabies, how she uses and combines optics & accessories, and examples
Panel discussion on the Business of Fine Art Photography - Print & product sales, exhibits, selling digital rights, social media, etc.

Day 2, Wednesday, May 3rd - Kanapaha 9am - 9pm
Classroom presentations and shooting. We have access to the Gardens all day and into the evening. Same option for lunch. Dinner on your own.

MaryJean Campanellie - An introduction to Corel Painter
Jackie Kramer - Editing in Lightroom and Photoshop; Layouts using the print module in Lightroom

Day 3, Thursday, May 4th: Country Inn & Suites 10:30 - 2pm
Optional field trip from 8:30 - 10am. You can choose to meet in one of 2 locations for shooting natural flowers in the field (weather dependent). At 10:30am we will convene in the hotel to work on editing. Portfolio reviews will also be available.

(Ideal gear: 70 - 200mm or 100 - 400mm lens and tripod with gimbal type head; camera with auto-focus tracking. Stay tuned for more info from Olis.)
