Richard Ray: Director of Missions - Weekly Update
This past week, my wife and I and many other family members celebrated with our daughter Josalyne Ray as she graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Saturday. On Sunday, we all attended Rocky City Church in Corpus Christi where my daughter serves as we celebrated Mother's Day. We all had such a wonderful time. I pray that you too had a very blessed Mother's Day.
This week, I will be attending the quarterly New Church Start meeting for the Church as Blue Ridge with the BGCT representative and sponsor church Fairy Baptist Church as we review, plan and pray for this new church start. I have also been asked to preach at a Celebrate Recovery Meeting along with partaking of the Lord's Supper. On Wednesday, I have the honor to deliver the devotional at Pidcoke Baptist Church as well as speak to this amazing congregation as they begin their search for their next shepherd.
To finish out the week, I will be spending time at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center preparing the facility for the summer youth and pre-teen retreats as well as preparing for the operation of the Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter starting in September. I will be sending each church additional information via mail and through email on this new ministry within Tri-Rivers Area.
On Sunday, I have the honor to deliver the Word of God and sing a special at School Creek Baptist Church. I am looking forward to this opportunity. The following day (Monday), I will be attending the Coryell Baptist Associational Meeting hosted by Boots and Saddle Cowboy Church.
I encourage you to review this newsletter in full to see all that God is doing and providing for His Church.
Until next week: "Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life ... more abundantly" (John 10:10). This is the message of the Gospel, and we are called by God to spread this Good News to our neighbors, our nation, and a needy world. In this violent, sin-sick world, our only hope is the Prince of Peace. - Franklin Graham
