Work Continues On The Lakota Park Stormwater Facility Repair Project
If you've tried to use the track or playing fields at Lakota Park recently, you've probably noticed a lot of dust and construction going on. All of the activity is part of the Lakota Park Stormwater Facility Repair project. The goal of this project is to repair the berm within the park and replace the pipe that helps to regulate water flow from the wetlands area. These much needed repairs will help to prevent flooding in the park and along 21st Ave SW and Dash Point Road. The project is funded by both the City's Surface Water utility fund and a King County Flood Control District Flood Reduction Grant.
