Zenith CH 750 Cruzer
The second annual DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase was held late last week in sunny Florida and was a great place to see some recently completed Zenith kit airplanes, including a gorgeous Zenith CH 750 Cruzer (pictured above) and STOL CH 750 (below).
STOL CH 750
Zenith Aircraft Company president Sebastien Heintz enjoyed meeting with both existing Zenith builders and flyers as well as new customers. Heintz presented two separate educational forums on building your own aircraft at the DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase, and was a guest on the Showcase Stage where he discussed Zenith Aircraft's 25 year anniversary and the new STOL CH 750 Super Duty.

Robert and Jan Nicholas (above) attended with their STOL CH 750, powered by the 120-hp Jabiru 3300 engine. Bob Rychel had his Zenith CH 650 on display, powered by a Viking Honda conversion (below):

On display at the Zenith Aircraft booth was a Zenith CH 750 Cruzer fuselage assembly, sitting on its gear, brought by the Wheels & Wings professional builder assistance facility. The new updated fuselage kit features advanced final hole size match-drilled technology, helping to make the kit easier and quicker to build than ever before!
Amy and Herman
Herman and Amy Eshuis of Wheels & Wings offer professional builder assistance to Zenith kit customers from their base in sunny Edgewater, Florida. While most Zenith builders don't need outside professional assistance to assemble their own aircraft, for some it is a valuable service to help them realize their dream of building and flying their very own airplane! Whether you don't have the space or the time to build, or if your existing project is stalled, Herman and Amy of Wheels & Wings may be able to help you. Call Herman at 386-690-4239 to discuss you project.

EAA's The Green Dot podcast with Sebastien Heintz
On the latest episode of EAA's The Green Dot podcast, the  EAA podcast crew was joined by Sebastien Heintz, president of Zenith Aircraft Company. Zenith turned 25 this year, and Sebastien spoke at length about the past, present, and future of his builder-friendly kit-building company, plus the deep connection it has with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).
EAA Green Dot Podcast
The Green Dot is a podcast designed for aviation lovers, and can be enjoyed by both pilots and non-pilots who love flight. Named after one of the famous displaced thresholds (big colored dots on the runway) when flying into Oshkosh AirVenture, the show usually includes a mix of aviation news, general aviation topics, history, personal experiences from hosts and guests alike, and plenty of other topics.
Light Sport Buyer's Guide
In its 2017 Light Sport Buyer's Guide , Plane and Pilot magazine reviews a handful of light sport aircraft, including the popular Zenith STOL CH 750 light-sport utility kit airplane from Zenith Aircraft Company.
affordable flying_
STOL CH 750 Sky Jeep  "An offshoot of the popular CH701, the CH750 adds more room while sacrificing none of the off-airport capability for which the breed is well known. The 750 is taller, has a bigger wingspan, and has more range, payload and useful load than the 701, all while keeping within the FAA's max weight for the category of 1,320 pounds. With an 86 knots cruise speed, the 750 isn't fast, but it's fun to fly, with great visibility thanks to the high wing and big windows and extreme short-field capability that rivals that of taildragger competitors.. In every way that matters, the 750 is a real Zenair. An all-metal airplane like all of the company's products, the 750 features a few signature Zenith touches, including leading edge slats and a Y-ended center-mounted yoke for use by either occupant."
Reporting on Zenith Aircraft's 25 years in the industry, Kitplanes magazine writes: "With CNC manufacturing and  final-hole-size pre-drilled riveting holes, the parts fit together perfectly. More quickbuild options are now available, resulting in the ability to get into the air faster by using factory-built assemblies. What this has meant, over the 25-year history of Zenith Aircraft, is that more and more builders are coming to kit construction with no prior experience in fabricating parts and using tools. By offering building workshops at the factory, Zenith Aircraft has introduced its easy-to-assemble concept to novices, showing them that they can indeed build their own airplane, and thereby attracting newcomers to homebuilding. The kits being supplied today have exactly matching skins and parts, with the holes for riveting already provided. All the builder has to do is set the part in place, Cleco it together, and fill the holes with rivets to finish each assembly. No prior experience is necessary, and the instructions actually easy to follow."
Writing about flying the popular all-metal Zenith high-wing light-sport utility aircraft, Kitplanes reports: "The STOL CH 750 combines amazing short-field capabilities and plenty of load carrying capability." About the CH 750 Cruzer model: "It's not a STOL CH 750, but it does fly in and out with minimal runway required, and it makes fewer demands of the pilot. For the great majority of pleasure-flying pilots, it's what they will want. The Cruzer is even simpler to build, it flies nicely, and accommodates a generous useful load. I came away convinced after our short sampling, ready for more."

Workshop experience_

Attending the hands-on workshop at the Zenith Aircraft kit manufacturing factory in Mexico, Missouri, is the easiest way to get started on your very own airplane! Plan now to join us at an upcoming workshop:
Zenith Aircraft Company's factory workshops  are popular with sport aviation enthusiasts, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in building their own Zenith Aircraft kit plane. Participants get to actually start assembling kit parts under the direction and guidance of factory professionals, and "graduate" from the workshop upon completing construction of their own aircraft rudder tail section for one of Zenith Aircraft Company's popular kit aircraft designs, including the Zenith CH 650 cruiser or the high wing Zenith CH 750 series.
Demo flight at the Zenith workshop
The factory workshops make an excellent getaway for you and your spouse or a friend! Spend a couple of days at the Zenith Aircraft factory and meet with fellow aviation enthusiasts - all while gaining valuable hands-on building skills.
