ISSUE 9- Cuyahoga County's Health and Human Services Levy

ISSUE 9 will be on the May 8th ballot. This is a RENEWAL levy- not a tax increase.

Funding from the Health and Human Services levy provides vital services and programs for citizens throughout Cuyahoga County that:
-protects children from abuse and neglect
-ensures home health care and meals for seniors
-secures mental health counseling and treatment programs
-maintains critical emergency services
-and so much more!

Join the cast of Razzle Dazzle and experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat

Beck Center for the Arts and the Cuyahoga County Board of DD proudly invite you to attend Razzle Dazzle XVIII- Wild World of Sports. Performances will be held on Friday ($15), May 4, and Saturday (free), May 5, at the Beck Center for the Arts.

The Cuyahoga County Board of DD and Solutions at Work, Inc. offer two employment training programs that can prepare you for a competitive job in the community:

Just-A-Buck Retail Training Program - Open houses will be held on May 16 from 2-4pm at the Just-A-Buck store in South Euclid (4515 Mayfield Rd.) and on May 17 from 2-4pm at the Just-A-Buck store in Parma (1844 Snow Rd.).

Culinary Arts Training Program (in partnership with Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry)- An open house will be held on May 10 from 10-11am at the Ryan Agriculture Center (5320 Stanard Ave. in Cleveland) followed by a tour of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry's Central Kitchen (around the corner at 4515 Superior Ave. in Cleveland) from 11am - 12pm.

Proceeds from this event are used by the Friends of DD to support levy campaigns which provide essential funding for DD services.

2018 Provider & Resource Fair

The Cuyahoga County Board of DD will be hosting a provider and resource fair on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10 am - 2 pm at the Holiday Inn on Rockside Road in Independence. This fair is a great way to learn about services and resources for people with developmental disabilities.

Over 50 provider agencies and community partners will be participating. Break-out sessions on current topics of interest will also be featured during this event.

Who should attend?
-People with developmental disabilities
-Students preparing to transition from high school
-Parents, caregivers and family members
-Anyone who supports persons with developmental disabilities
