NebraskaResearch Presentation This Friday: Nebraska Nanoscale Facility, Jacob John, Ph.D.

Jacob John, Ph.D., coordinator of the Nebraska Nanoscale Facility (NNF) will give an overview of the facility's scientific, technical and fabrication capabilities on Friday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. in the Rhatigan Student Center Pike Room 266.  Faculty members, scientific staff and students are invited to learn about this state-of the art Research Instrumentation Facility and opportunities for research.

The NNF is part of the National Science Foundation's National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure network.  NNF offers services in nanotechnology and material science to universities, colleges and industry throughout the Midwest. policy WSU Policy & Procedures Revision: Shipping

President Bardo and the President's Executive Team have approved the following revisions to the WSU Policies and Procedures Manual:

15.04 / Shipping: To strengthen oversight of international shipments to ensure export control compliance. Replaces former Section 16.07, Shipping Materials Off Campus.
Recommended by Office of Research Compliance and Physical Plant.
Effective Date: August 8, 2017

VisualComplianceReminder about Visual Compliance Screening

The primary reason that the university conducts visual compliance screening is that U.S. law restricts interaction with all individuals and companies on a U.S. government list for debarred, restricted or denied entities. Failure to comply can result in fines, prosecution and the inability to receive any federal funding. Additionally, WSU certifies each time it submits a proposal for a federal grant that we are not in violation of these laws. The only way to provide certainty when answering yes, is through screening.
