April 27 Golf Tournament -
PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY!!!
The Chamber's annual Golf Challenge is
quickly approaching! One of the area's largest, and
certainly most fun, days of golf will be held on Friday,
April 27th at the Plantation Golf & Country Club. Each
of our golfers will receive a "Goodie Bag" just
as a thank you for participating in the golf tournament.
We are looking for some items to fill those bags. Some
past items we have received were key chains, golf balls,
coozie cups, towels, hand sanitizer, cups, etc. - the more
unique and fun the better! We need 300 of each item. You
can either drop your item off or we will even come pick
them up!

Income Tax Assistance
Tax season is around the corner! Get the word out to
your clients and staff about the FREE Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Sites
throughout Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
HIGHLIGHTS:
" For families with incomes less than $50,000
" 7 Locations throughout Sarasota and DeSoto Counties
" IRS Trained Tax Preparers
" Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credits (CTC)
" Electronic Filing for quick refund turn around
Last year, VITA completed over 800 tax returns which provided well over $1
MILLION in tax refunds to hardworking members of our community. Help us get
the word out about this free service and avoid paying for tax preparation.
We are happy to provide your organization with free VITA flyers to promote
this program to your clients and staff. Simply fill out the attached form and
send it back to me by Monday, December 5, 2011. We appreciate all you do for
the community and your continued support of the United Way.
