An update from the Association Executive

I am excited to share that the Vail Board of Realtors Foundation raised $30,000 at the golf tournament last week! We can’t thank everyone enough for being part of this event and its success.

Last night we also kicked off the Playhouse Project in Nottingham Park in Avon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. We are very proud to be the presenting sponsors of this unique event. Eight local construction companies build these playhouses that will be auction off on July 21 ^st to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, VBR Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley. These playhouses will be on display until the auction. Make sure to stop by and share this event with your clients the next few weeks.

VBR Education

Spaces are still available for free training!

Rapattoni trainers will be at the VBR offices on June 26 through June 28 for free training sessions. The trainings will be classroom style and you will not need your computer to follow along. Handouts will be provided for note taking. Also, these are training sessions. We ask that you do not suggest Vail MLS changes to the Rapattoni representatives.

VBR General Membership Meeting

VBR hosted its summer General Membership Meeting on June 14, including an Affiliate Expo with prizes, breakfast buffet from Gourmet Cowboy, and a special presentation on body language with Jayne Lybrand . More photos are being posted on the VBR Facebook page . Thank you to all attended!

Playhouse Project in Avon

VBR is the presenting sponsor of the Playhouse Project, a fun and unique fundraiser that kicked off on June 14 in Avon's Nottingham Park. Eight local construction companies built custom playhouses that will be auctioned off to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , the Vail Board of Realtors Foundation and Habitat Vail Valley .

Kids and parents can check out the playhouses during a five-week exhibit on display and vote on their favorite. The playhouses will be auctioned off on Saturday, July 21. More photos of the Playhouse Project debut can be found on VBR's Facebook Page .

Developed by the Vail Board of REALTORS® and Eagle County, REALFire ®assists homeowners in identifying specific actions they can take to reduce wildfire hazards.

This program provides residents with many benefits:

An in-depth, on-site assessment conducted by experienced fire professionals;

An opportunity for property owners to identify mitigation actions unique to their property;

A detailed follow up report with customized mitigation actions designed to measurably reduce the wildfire risk to their property;

An opportunity to earn a REALFire certificate acknowledging their mitigation achievements. This type of recognition can be used to enhance real estate transactions, and can be shared with local insurance providers.
