Happy Summer!

It’s that time of year when everything turns upside down. What will anchor your family through all the inconsistencies of schedules and vacation? Have you considered your spiritual goals or practices for the summer? Some quick ideas:

  • Read a Psalm a day with the children
  • Create a new prayer routine at bedtime
  • Say a blessing at the end of bath or book time. This can be as simple as "May the Lord bless and keep you!"

The church has wonderful Bible storybooks you can check out. (Look in Sunday School classrooms 206, 207, 208.) A habit of reading one Bible story a week could open hearts and minds to 12 stories of faith this summer. I wonder what God will do if we step up to the plate. Contact Pastor John Ryan or the Staff Associate for Children’s Ministries, Jenny Alexander, for more ideas.

It's Journey Sunday June 4th!
11 am worship only & picnic

3rd Graders Receive Bibles
3rd Graders, please come forward during the Children's Moment for a special presentation of your Bible. congratulations on completing Bible Class.

Don't forget, Jenny has prizes for learning the books of the Bible and Psalm 23! It's never too late. :)
Childcare (ages 0-5) at DCPC

Summer Sunday Morning Childcare (for ages 0-5) will take place as one class in the nursery downstairs (room 14). Usual schedule 8:15-Noon. This Sunday June 4th (one worship at 11 am), childcare will be open 10:45-Noon.

Now hiring childcare staff-    We need an additional adult to work occasionally in the nursery starting this Fall. Help spread the word. When our beloved Davidson College students are off for Spring Break, holidays and special events, it is helpful to have another person to call.

Contact Jenny Alexander by email or at 704-892-5641 for more information.
