I would encourage each of you to visit the new StudyFinder site if you haven't already. The Wright CCTR informatics group has done an outstanding job working with collaborators at the University of Minnesota to develop StudyFinder for VCU and the resulting website is something worthy of the attention it has received.

VCU Paves New Path for Clinical Trial Recruitment Through Launch of StudyFinder
The Wright CCTR launched VCU's StudyFinder on Friday, July 1 as a central point for all enrolling clinical trials at VCU.
VCU HR is offering classes for managers, exempt and non-exempt employees on how to use the new
RealTime system.
Class options can be found at training.vcu.edu (search by Sponsor - Human Resources). Please familiarize yourself with this system prior to Thursday, August 25 in order to ensure proper usage of the system.
Note that this system will replace the CCTR's internal REDCap Leave Request process and will be mandatory for all employees in order to get paid properly.

Monthly Staff Meeting - July 14
The CCTR will hold its July monthly staff meeting on Thursday, July 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the RAM Conference Room.
Jessica Bryant, project manager for the HR Redesign Project, will lead a presentation on the redesign and answer questions.
Central Virginia SoCRA Chapter Meeting - July 19
The next SoCRA chapter meeting will take place Tuesday, July 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Critical Care Hospital's first floor, Room 304.

Using EDirect to Access NCBI's Databases - July 26
The Wright CCTR and Tompkins-McCaw Library are co-sponsoring an experimental workshop on Tuesday, July 26 from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the library's lecture room (2-010).
Peter Cooper, Ph.D., from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) will be remotely leading this experimental workshop on how to use EDirect to access NCBI's databases.
The session is currently full, but interested participants may be placed on a waiting list.
