Mid-Atlantic Early Detection Network:
How you can help defeat invasive species!

Invasive species are an unfortunate reality.  Not only do we already have many species that have become pests, but it is inevitable that new pests will be introduced.  Despite this bleak outlook, we can work together to combat invasive species and help minimize their impact on our environments.  This webinar will focus on the Mid-Atlantic Early Detection Network and how you can help to fight invasive species.

Speaker Bio
Joe LaForest is Associate Director for the University of Georgia's Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health (Bugwood) and leads the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Forest Health programs.  He also serves as Co-Director for the Southern IPM Center and encourages all stakeholders to work together in solving complex real-world problems through IPM. His main focus is to provide easy-to-use technology-based solutions to facilitate the communication needed for effective pest management.
