Saying Goodbye
It is with great sadness that I announce my departure from VOA Oregon. I will be leaving mid-October for an exciting move to Vietnam. I have enjoyed working with you and seeing the positive impact you've made in our programs. While I don't get out to program sites nearly enough, I'm always inspired when I visit and see the transformative work in action.

The new Volunteer Services Manager has yet to be named, but they will introduce themselves when they join the team. You can contact your program volunteer coordinators directly for any needs or email [email protected]

Thank you for all your contributions!

Sincerely,
Kelsey Stark
Volunteer Services Manager

PS - If you or someone you know is interested in applying for this position,
Birthday Bag Overload
Families in our Family Relief Nursery, a child abuse and neglect prevention program, may find it challenging to celebrate their children's birthdays with presents and cake. Birthday parties are an added expense that just may not be possible. We put a call out to the community to help bridge this gap and were humbled by the volunteer response

Several volunteer
groups held donation
drives to collect items such as cake mixes, toys, party invites, gift bags, and more. They held assembling parties to create a "Birthday in a Bag" for our kids to receive on their special day. We received over 100 amazing birthday bags which will go a long way in brightening the days of our children. The power of volunteerism in action! Thank you!

Thank You to Our Group Volunteers

Thank you to this quarter's volunteer groups, organizations, and companies that shared their time with VOA Oregon. Group volunteering is a great way to build camaraderie and help VOA Oregon accomplish big things. If you have a group interested in volunteering, email  [email protected] . We've hosted groups of five volunteers all the way up to 60!
