PRIMARY ELECTION IS TODAY ACROSS GEORGIA
Today is the Georgia general primary election, nonpartisan general election and special runoff election across Georgia. The PAGE Office of Legislative Affairs urges our members to remember to VOTE in today's primary. You can CLICK HERE to check your registration status, find your polling place, and access many other useful election resources.

PAGE hopes that educators have talked with candidates about the candidate's position on school choice, financial support for public schools and support for educators. This will be a very important election for the future of Georgia's public education system as we anticipate Governor Deal's Education Reform Commission recommendations will be one of the top issues in 2017.
School Voucher Question on Republican Primary Ballots

Today's election is also important as a straw poll will be on the Republican ballot to test Republican voter support for expensive education savings accounts (ESA's). This likely signals an upcoming attempt from state Republican leaders to create this program in Georgia. PAGE has opposed ESA's in the past, and will continue to oppose them should they gain momentum again. As a reminder, PAGE is a non-partisan organization.
