MPCC's 26th Annual Business Excellence Awards will be held on July 26, 2012 at the Monterey Conference Center.
Sponsored by Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, this prestigious and popular event is designed to increase public awareness of the vital role business plays on the Central Coast and to honor those businesses that have achieved excellence in their field.
Historically, each year's winners were chosen by an independent panel of local business representatives. However, in 2011 we transitioned to a new interactive voting process with the goal of getting the local community more involved in the judging process. It was a great success, and we received over 1,000 ballots!

ROUND ONE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Monday, May 21, the first-round ballot will be published on Page 4 of the Monterey County
Herald as well as online on www.mpcc.com/BEA2012.php.
- THIS ROUND OF VOTING IS OPEN TO BOTH MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
- All current MPCC members will be on the ballot, with the exception of the Business Excellence Award winners from 2010 & 2011, who are not eligible this year.
- If voting by mail, only original ballots will be accepted (no photocopies).
- Please vote only once.
- The first round voting deadline is Thursday, May 31.
ROUND TWO ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A second ballot will be mailed out to all Chamber members in mid-June. - THIS ROUND OF VOTING IS OPEN TO CHAMBER MEMBERS ONLY.
- The ballot can be submitted by mail, fax, email, or online at www.mpcc.com/BEA2012.php (please note: the official ballot number, listed on the ballot you receive in the mail, is required to vote online).
- The final voting deadline is Friday, July 6. The business in each category that receives the most total votes will be declared the winner, and will be announced at the event.

All finalists will be recognized at the July 26 event as well as in local media. The winners, in addition to being honored at the event, will automatically become a nominee for the Business of the Year Award, to be presented at MPCC's Annual Awards Dinner in 2013.
