  Welcome to the VPC Builders Newsletter!  This special edition features some company highlights over the past couple of months as well as the rundown of what we've been up to over the summer!
Linville Falls Kitchen Renovation & Exterior Stain| VPC Builders renovated this beautiful kitchen that is now three times its original size! This gorgeous kitchen features all new cabinets and all high-end appliances. Granite counter tops were also added to complete this kitchen’s grand renovation and expansion. Happy summer and welcome back to Thor's Thoughts! Hope you are enjoying the gorgeous weather outside as much as I am! 

As summertime comes to a close and the school year begins, life can get a bit hectic.  During this time of the year, it can sometimes be difficult to remain on top of home organization and daily maintenance.  With that in mind, I've made a list of some helpful organization tips for keeping your home tidy and beautiful!  Enjoy!
  • Open shelving paired with identical storage containers are a great way to stay neat while also looking stylish.  Storage baskets are a great option to organize with style.  Many storage containers even have space for labels making finding things later even easier!  

  • Stacking vertically and stacking things to the top can be a huge space saver especially in tucked away places such as closets. 

  • Unpack anything still left in its original packing to save space and continue doing this each time you bring something new home to avoid clutter from that extra outer packaging. 

  • Lastly, setting up a cleaning routine can be a lifesaver for keeping your home neat and tidy.  While summertime can be hectic, setting aside a little extra time for maintenance is key to maintaining a clean home.

A Glance Into the Past|  What have we been up to this summer?  In July, we had a great time joining the Town of Banner Elk in their annual Fourth of July Parade.  
Company Barbecue| We had an amazing time at our company barbecue event held at The Valle Crucis Community Park.  It was great to spend a beautiful afternoon surrounded by good friends, family and food.  
  A New Perspective with Drones| Sneak Peek 
We're excited to announce that we've begun shooting video footage and photographs with our new drone! As an innovative company, we strive to stay on top of new trends and technologies in order to better meet and exceed our client's expectations. With this new technology, we hope to provide breathtaking images and videos for  everyone to enjoy as well as keep our clients as up-to-date as possible throughout their home's transformation or creation.  Here's a sneak peek of some of the photos we've taken so far! 
Exciting News! VPC Builders is also thrilled to announce that we have been chosen to be featured on the Today’s Builder TV Show!  Today’s Builder features only the top builders from all over the country and we are honored to be chosen for this opportunity.  In addition, we will be providing images and video that our drone captures to be used in the show.  Don’t forget to check out VPC Builders on CBS for the Today’s Builder TV Show this fall.  More details coming very soon!

VPC Builders in the Community|At VPC Builders, we believe that it is very important to be involved in the community that we are a part of.  We had the amazing opportunity to sponsor a rising 6th grade student in the Junior Beta Club at Mabel School. Junior Beta Club is a service and leadership club. While students compete within the means of their talents and skills, they also attend sessions that instill the integrity and motivation needed to be successful leaders in their respective schools.  
We'd like to congratulate the  student we sponsored for placing 1st at the North Carolina Junior Beta Club Convention in woodworking! This also allowed him the opportunity to go to the National Junior Beta Club Convention where he competed against other talented students from around the country and received 4th place! Pictured here is the beautiful table he built out of cedar.

Everyone is afraid of failure or losing in life.  It's a natural fear, but you can't let that fear stop you from doing what you have to do.  The only way to achieve success is by taking risks.  By taking risks we might fail at times, but failure can always be looked at as just one more step towards success.  When we do win and succeed, the risks taken to get there make us appreciate the reward of accomplishing something and achieving that success even more.

Purple Heart Homes partners with local volunteers in the community with the intent of restoring dignity and 'quality of life' by creating a safe, barrier free living environment for Service Connected Disabled Veterans who currently own a home that no longer meets their physical needs.
