"Lessons Learned in Pursuit of Everest" presented by Memorial Hospital at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, October 20. Join mountaineer, Emmy award-winner, director, producer, and photographer Thom Pollard, who will share untold stories from climbing Mount Everest.

Fields on the Saco, presented by the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust and Mount Washington Valley Eaters and Growers on Sunday, October 22 offers an evening of culinary delights. New England chefs will be sourcing fresh, local ingredients and pair regionally made spirits, beers, and wines.

Shopping Adventures
Settlers Green, is abuzz with activity as the final touches are finished for the new expansion, Settlers Green Streetside. Fall fun starts on October 10th through the 15th with the annual Settlers Green
Fall Festival, featuring Horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin painting plenty of Pumpkin People, and more to celebrate the start of fall in North Conway!
Dancing in the Street follows with the Grand Opening of its new Streetside mall with a full line-up of musical themed events, community celebrations, shopping specials, art unveilings, giveaways and more.

Do you only have 24 hours to spend with us in the Valley? No problem! You can use those hours effectively and join in on the
White Mountain Milers Half Marathon
on Sunday, October 29th.
The race begins and ends at Schouler Park in North Conway. All proceeds benefit the Gretchen B. Hatch Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Walkers and runners are welcome and $1,000.00 in cash prizes will be given away. A post-race celebration will follow.
Competing participants will also receive a race shirt, custom finisher's medal, unlimited race photos, post race celebration with live music.

The Ghoullog? Navigate your way through 4 individual haunts in one terrifying experience on the grounds of Cranmore Mountain. New this year, is the Haunted Playground for scary good family fun! Scream the night away inside this playground with unlimited rides on the Giant Swing, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, and Mountain Coaster.
Add to your get-away, a drive through Jackson and North Conway searching for
Pumpkin People.
From October 1st - 31st, take a self-guided tour of more than 80 different locations where you will see Pumpkin People doing all kinds of things from flying across yards to deep sea diving.

It's that time of the year again! It's time for the
Fryeburg Fair!
From October 1st through October 8th, make your way into Fryeburg Village for this historic agricultural fair featuring animals, rides, exhibitions, crafts, food and fun!
Live music punctuates the entire week at 8pm every evening, with the annual fireworks show on Friday, October 6th, at 9pm.
Make sure to mark your calendars for the very special 50th Anniversary of Woodsmen's Day on Monday, October 3rd, the largest spectator woodsmen event in North America. Contestants come from across the U.S. and Canada to compete in over 34 woods skills events such as log-rolling, axe throwing, and more!
