Dogfish Head
Olde School Barleywine

Fermented with dates and figs, this smooth barleywine has a unique flavor.

The concept for this beer came from an old cellerman's manual Sam came across (for more on that, check out the video below).

At about 15% ABV, this beer is a great candidate for aging. Over time, the beer dries out and the pit fruit flavors come forward and the hops recede. Our recommendation? Grab a few bottles when you find it -- enjoy one now, and age the others for a bit. Let us know which you prefer!

Olde School Barlewine comes out in the fall annually. It is available in 12-ounce bottles by the 4-pack.

Restaurateur and Chef Scott Morrison intensively studied his craft in Florence, Italy, before returning to New York where he successfully owned and operated over a dozen food establishments in Manhattan. He is one of the area's most accomplished restaurateurs - perhaps known best as the creator and co-founder of Nectar, the Main Line's most successful restaurant. In 2010, Scott Morrison Events
became a part of the ongoing revitalization of Wilmington's Market Street corridor and currently operates Chelsea Tavern and Ernest & Scott Taproom. SME is also responsible for all the extraordinary catering for The Grand Opera House. Scott's culinary approach is to create simple dishes which necessitate a high level of technique and require the use of fresh, local, quality ingredients.

The Scott Morrison Events team will work closely with you to make every event a memorable success. Whether you are planning an intimate cocktail reception, wedding or corporate meeting, we have the experience as well as the global resources to execute every aspect of your event. Our unique venues can be configured to accommodate anywhere from 8 to 300 guests.
