Heresy in the Talmud
Wednesday, March 14, 7:30 p.m.
One of the amazing things about the Talmud is that it doesn't just preserve the stories and teachings of those who were responsible for creating Rabbinic Judaism; it also includes stories about those who disagreed or opposed the system. In this course we will look at a variety of Talmudic stories and the characters within them. These stories could be considered heretical, and yet they are preserved, recorded, and studied to this day. We continue in that chain, studying those texts together.

Wednesdays, 7 :30- 8:30 p.m.

Mitzvah Day
MARCH 18, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Temple Shir Tikva

What We Have: More than 130 great volunteers signed up to join us to pack meals for food-insecure people worldwide. If you would like to join this dedicated group of volunteers, sign up at the link below.

What We Need: To reach our goal of $11,600 so we can pack 40,000 meals in honor of the TST 40th anniversary. Thank you to the generous donors who have helped us raise $3540 to date. This money provides the food supplies for this project-just 29 cents per meal!

What You Can Do: A donation of just $29 will provide 100 meals; $290 will provide 1000 meals. Suggested donations - 400 meals in honor of the 40th anniversary, at a cost of $116, or 4000 meals for a $1,160 donation?

Every dollar helps; every 29 cents will pack one more meal. Please consider making a donation of any amount at the link below.

Mitzvah Project  - Lea Murphy
My name is Lea Murphy and I am becoming Bat Mitzvah in March. For my Mitzvah project I am collecting books for cradles to crayons, an organization that collects and provides children with books and school supplies if they don't have the financial means to buy those things.
If you have books that your children have outgrown, and are in like-new condition, please consider donating them. There will be a box outside the temple office. Thank you for helping me complete this Mitzvah.
TST Book Plates
In honor of Temple Shir Tikva's 40th anniversary, we are offering dedicated book plates that will be affixed to the inside cover of Mishkan T'filah.
There are a limited number of book plates being offered. Don't delay!
