Veterans Day is Friday
Hospice Savannah is proud to recognize and thank the Veterans who are under our care through our We Honor Veterans program. We will display a one-day exhibit of paintings at our Hospice Savannah Art Gallery this Veterans Day, and warmly invite you to the artists' reception Friday evening between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. "Art by Everyday Heroes" features the work of 14 local Veterans who attend a painting class at the Savannah VA Outpatient Clinic. 
25th Annual Tree of Light candle lighting

Make plans to remember or honor your loved ones during the upcoming holiday season by attending our Tree of Light ceremony on the patio of the Demere Center, 6000 Business Drive. This special time of music, candle lighting and reflection begins at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 4. If you would like to make a donation to support grief and loss programming provided by Full Circle , please do so before Thanksgiving to have your loved one's name in the program and read at the ceremony. Music with a Mission
 
This Sunday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. we are excited to join the choir of Savannah State, under the direction of Jacqueline Hamilton, and the choir of Georgia Southern, under the direction of David Langley, at a special concert at First Presbyterian Church in Savannah. A love offering will support the work of Hospice Savannah. We appreciate this generous gesture of community support and hope you will make the concert part of your weekend activities.
Prize-winning Palliative Care!
 
We are proud of  Dr. Laura Farless(R), director of our  and the St. Joseph's/Candler Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion 's clinical special services manager, Jennifer Fournier on being  awarded a Health Care Innovation award at last week's Georgia Medical Society's  HealthCare Heroes dinner. Laura and Jennifer have successfully integrated outpatient palliative care into a cancer center in our community.

Tree of Love
We feel certain you will make at least one trip to the Oglethorpe Mall this holiday season! Be sure to look for the holiday tree in the center of the mall where, beginning on the day after Thanksgiving, we will have Hospice Savannah staff and volunteers standing by during peak shopping times. Please consider donating a paper dove to hang on the tree to honor loved ones. We look forward to hearing your memories and stories!
