VCC Maricopa County/Phoenix December Update
This year we asked Maricopa County residents of all walks of life to become part of our VCC Resource Database; we are appreciative to so many of you who said YES!

Because of your involvement we've been able to connect veterans, military members, and their spouses with local experts, like yourself, to get answers to life in Maricopa County-- whether that's been advice on careers, education, neighborhoods, recreation, or businesses offering veteran/military discounts.

If you haven't signed up already, become a part of the VCC Community Resource Database.
Have You Seen Our Billboards?
Thanks to a donation from Clear Channel Outdoor, we launched 60 billboards around the Valley on Veterans Day. The "Got 10 Minutes for a Vet?" campaign has led to a large increase in veteran calls into 211. Billboards will be up through the holidays so if you see one of the billboards , please share it and tag us on Facebook or Twitter. #Got10Minutes
VCC's Role in Empowering Local Women Veterans
In October, VCC partnered with The Veterans Directory, Helping Hands for Freedom and the Arizona Apparel Foundation to host Designing Your Transformation, an event for women veterans. Through a variety of workshops and activities, participants discussed how women veterans can impact their communities through branding, networking, and creativity. The event closed with a fashion show featuring some of the event participants. Attendees worked to create an ongoing Arizona Coalition of Empowered Women Veterans which will meet throughout the year and keep the energy going.
