As we approach the season of giving we want to thank you all so much for all you have given! Your time, energy, and support are our greatest resource. Thanks to all of our families our food drive was a tremendous success! We have some very exciting events and activities coming up and we hope to see you all.

Family Movie Night

CALLING ALL WESTIES.....ALL ABOARD FOR FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 4th AT 7pm!!!
Join us in the school cafeteria and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while watching a modern holiday classic with your family and friends! Suggested donations are just $5 per child; $2 for each adult. Children *MUST* be accompanied by an adult. Wear your coziest pajamas and bring a sleeping bag or something comfortable to sit on. Concessions will be available! Click

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our food drive to support Backpack Buddies! We collected nearly 1000 items for kids in need at our school!

Volunteers

While we didn't have our normal monthly PTO meeting in November, the VESPTO recognized
Cristen Younts as our Board Member of the Month. The Board Member of the Month is awarded to someone who goes above and beyond to support the PTO and our activities. Cristen is not only the webmaster for the VESPTO website, she is also the editor of the monthly newsletter, and unofficially serves as the IT department and resident historian of the VESPTO. If parents and teachers are informed and have access to information they need it's usually because of Cristen. Thank you, Cristen, for all of your hard work.
Our book fair is coming up soon - please consider spending an hour to help our Librarians. Lots of extra hands are needed to make things run smoothly and help out students make their wish list selections. Visit

A huge THANK YOU to our November volunteers! Picture Day ran very smoothly and quickly! We are thankful for everyone who contributed to our teacher conference dinner and those who continually help out in the library and cafeteria.

With Thanksgiving break behind us that means Winter is in the air!!! We know that your calendars are getting full and you are busy making your Holiday plans, don't forget to mark your calendar for our Westie Winter Celebrations on
Friday, December 18th
!!!
The PTO Liaison Committee would like to thank all the Room Parents who are hard at work planning more fun for our Westies! The Room Parents are making their lists and checking them twice to make sure that everything is in place for our Winter Celebrations which will take placeon Friday, December 18th. The celebrations will follow the same schedule as the Harvest Parties. The celebrations are scheduled at the following times.
- K - 2:00 - 2:45
- 1 - 1:15 - 2:00
- 2 - 2:45 - 3:30
- 3 - 2:45 - 3:30
- 4 - 1:15 - 2:00
- 5 - 2:00 - 2:45
If you would like to help with your child's winter celebration please contact your class room parent. If you are not sure who that is, please contact your grade level liaison. We hope that you will be able to join in the Winter Fun!

Clubs & Activities

Clubs will return for the spring. Look for the registration to come home in late February/early March. Clubs will start after Spring Break.

Box Tops for Education
|
Remember to clip all those Box Tops through the holidays. Box Tops can be turned in anytime! Please make sure all submissions have the teacher's name clearly marked on the collection sheet or baggie. Thank you for your support of the VES Box Top program.
