Understanding Access to Care Barriers in Rural Communities

Sanchit Maruti, MD, a PCSS Clinical expert, discusses how access to care is one of the largest barriers to treating addiction in rural areas. Many times, patients must make the difficult decision to either get treatment or go to their job.

"If you have to drive an hour to get to your treatment because there's no other option, then that's an hour that you're not at work."
